Doug is responsible to the CEO for all matters involving Chart engineering and technology to include process and product development as well as all research and development efforts. Additionally, he is the senior Chart Industries Fellow and is responsible for the Chart Fellows and Key Experts program recognizing outstanding technical contributors within the company. Prior to this role, Doug was the Vice President, Process Plant Technology for E & C.

Doug joined Chart in 1978 and has served in multiple engineering and leadership roles to include the General Manager of operations in New Iberia, Louisiana and the General Manager of the Process Systems business in The Woodlands, Texas. He has 7 patents in the LNG field and the co-inventor of the IPSMR® LNG liquefaction process and heavy hydrocarbon removal process for LNG.

He also has related experience with Pratt and Whitney Aircraft and Praxair.

Doug has a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Louisiana State University.

Joe is currently the Chief Commercial Officer, responsible for strategically and profitably growing both our industrial gas and traditional energy markets as well as expanding our customer touchpoints in new specialty and clean energy markets and applications. Prior to this role Joe was the President of the Energy & Chemicals ( E & C) segment, and previously held the roles of President of E & C Cryogenics and VP/GM of Chart’s Brazed Aluminum Heat Exchangers (BAHX) business.

Joe began his career as a Sales/Applications Engineer with ALTEC International in 1993. As ALTEC transitioned into Chart Energy & Chemicals, Mr. Belling took on several roles related to commercialization, design and application of BAHX, Cold Boxes, and Core-in-Kettles® in key markets of Industrial Gas, Hydrocarbon and Petrochemical Processing, and LNG.

He also has related experience with Trane, a multi-national corporation specializing in the HVAC industry, where he held roles of increasing responsibility as Product Planning and New Product Introduction Leader for Trane’s Global Parts Division

Joe has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
