Responsible for arranging work to share the duties of caring for up to 50 residents requiring some help with activities of daily living. This position is responsible for medication management, under the direction of the Nurse. Also responsible for the orderliness of the facility during hours when other administrative staff are off duty. This position reports to a Nurse Manager. This is part-time role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
• Assist residents as necessary with activities of daily living. Taking care to treat each resident with respect and understanding.
• Update and review daily logbook, responsible for including any notes that were observed during present shift regarding a resident's condition which may be helpful to personnel on alternating shifts.
• Maintain tidiness of bed daily and change bed linens for residents under your care weekly and/or whenever the bed is soiled.
• Provide beverages, (I.e. fresh ice water) to residents under your care on both first and second shifts, or pick up pitchers if on the third shift.
• Help residents with showers, when necessary or requested. Notify Nurse or Administrator of residents who refuse to shower.
• Keep cognizant of all emergency evacuation procedures and fire regulations.
• Work with the nurse to ensure that the treatments as prescribed by the attending physicians are being followed for each resident. Take vital signs monthly and as needed.
• Ensure that all residents are present during a meal and assist those who need help cutting meat, etc.
• Assist new admissions with unpacking and labeling their clothes. Be available to help new residents find their way to the dining room, activity room, etc.
• When a resident receives clothes at any time, notify the laundry worker to make sure that all clothes are labeled.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Requires knowledge of aging, geriatrics, and mental illnesses.
• Must possess tact, patience, and the ability to maintain effective relationships with residents, their families, the public, and other employees.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills. Including the ability to speak English which can be understood by a majority of residents.
• Must be able to read medical instructions in English.
• Skilled at working with the frail and elderly who require some assistance with the activities of daily living.
• Requires understanding of the aging and disease process, empathy for the elderly, and the ability to assist those who need help with dressing, bathing, and eating.
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
High School graduate. Minimum of one year experience working with elderly, mentally or physically challenged. Certified Nursing Assistant experience is strongly preferred. Must pass the certification requirement of medication distribution within 60 days of hire. Some experience with use of computers.

Compensation & Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $200k to $250k depending on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Due to our continued success, we are recruiting for a Senior/Principal Oceanographic Survey Consultant to join our Ships and Dredging Group, within which there is a team dedicated to marine survey. Our team of marine survey specialists provide expertise to all technical groups within HR Wallingford.
The Senior/Principal Oceanographic Survey Consultant will be a key contributor to HR Wallingford projects, providing technical expertise and project management for a range of clients across the UK and internationally. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality consultancy advice relating to survey, data, analysis and reporting, as well as overseeing survey contractors and providing technical support to clients and other teams within HR Wallingford. In addition, you will contribute to R&D activities and marketing materials, also attending conferences/trade events both in the UK and internationally to share knowledge and expertise.
Key qualifications and skills
Degree in a relevant field (e.g. oceanography, marine science or equivalent)
5+ years of commercial metocean/oceanography (ADCP, VM-ADCP, CTD, met, waves) experience
Monitoring water quality, in particular turbidity / suspended sediment concentration monitoring
Familiarity with water and sediment sample analysis (for key parameters such as PSD and suspended sediment concentration)
Experience of programming for the processing of oceanographic data as well as using “off the shelf” software for this purpose
Data analysis and reporting of metocean data on commercial projects
Experience of coastal fieldwork
Management of commercial survey teams both onshore and offshore as party chief
Designing, deploying and recovering oceanographic moorings
Experience in sediment and water chemistry (or quality) monitoring
Worked in a range of environments both in the UK and abroad
Comparable level of commercial experience (comparable to experience in metocean/oceanography) in bathymetric surveys (including SBES and MBES)
Experience with deep sea oceanographic monitoring, geophysical survey, geotechnical investigations, and autonomous systems would be beneficial.

This position is primarily responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance activities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of Scofield Manor, a residential care facility managed by Charter Oak Communities (COC). This position manages inventory order supplies, conducts regular inspections, and coordinates the work of contractors and vendors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintenance /Work Order System
• Create, complete, close out Yardi system work orders in a timely, accurate manner.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks as outlined in the established schedule.
• Complete plumbing repairs, such as repairs of sinks faucets, stems, washers, toilets, showerheads, unclogging plumbing fixtures, snake drain lines, and water leaks repairs.
• Complete basic electrical repair work, including replacement of fuses, switches, electrical outlets, light fixtures, bulbs and ballasts.
• Provide service to heaters and furnaces, including water heaters and other appliances.
• Troubleshoot and repair appliances, such as vacuum cleaners, lamps, televisions, cable boxes, telephones and other electronic items.
• Perform timely make-ready maintenance, including painting and cleaning of vacant or occupied rooms
• Complete carpentry tasks, such as repairing and/or replacing carpentry related items, such as window screens, springs and balances for door locks.
Inspections/Record Retention
• Maintain all regulatory inspections, such as safety checks, preventative maintenance, generator logs in an orderly manner to ensure adherence to regulatory compliance, resident safety, and managing liability.
• Schedule, complete and document inspections, as outlined in the established schedule, such as fire extinguishers, sprinklers, generator, fire panel, and boilers.
• Schedule vendors/contractors as needed and confirm that work is completed accordingly.
• Proactively prepare for local, state Department of Public Health and other regulatory agencies to conduct unannounced inspections
Inventory Management/Ordering Supplies
• Maintain accurate supply records to best manage finances, maintain efficient operations, and ensure resident satisfaction.
• Order housekeeping and toiletry supplies, including laundry detergent, oil and propane, as well as an appropriate inventory of spare parts.
• Order and change filters on all air conditioning and fan coil units.
Janitorial
• Light sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning, sanitizing and trash removal, as needed.
• Refinish floors (strip, seal and wax), as well as deep cleans carpets.
• Assist residents by carefully managing, transporting, and inventorying personal belongings and prior approved furniture during move-in and move-out process.
Safety/Other
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and high-quality environment.
• Be an active member of the Employee Safety Committee
• Check all fire doors to ensure they are in proper working order.
