Liquor Dan was established in South Tucson in 1965 by Dan Don. It was a small mom and pop shop serving Dan’s friends and neighbors in the community. It has since grown to become a prominent store in Tucson, offering the largest selection of beer, wine, and spirits in the area. In 1994, Dan found his trusted successor Nil Kay, who continues to serve friends and neighbors across Arizona.

Liquor Dan is looking for a Cashier/Check Casher to bring their skills and zeal to work each day.

The ideal candidate will be passionate to meet people everyday, make transactions, and be the face to assist our amazing customers. They will be eager to show up everyday with a can-do attitude, refreshing ideas and outlooks, and push to add value in new and vibrant ways.

This opportunity is flexible to be part-time or full-time based on availability, dependent on business needs.

What You’ll Do

• Welcoming customers, answering their questions, helping them locate items, and providing advice or recommendations.
• Operating scanners, scales, cash registers, and other electronics.
• Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales.
• Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and proving a receipt to every customer.
• Processing refunds and exchanges, resolving complaints.
• Bagging or wrapping purchases to ensure safe transport.
• Following all store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, or the purchase of specific items, such as alcohol or cigarettes.
• Maintaining a clean workspace.
• Process check payments.
• Must be willing to work weekends.

What You’ll Bring

• 1 year of proven work experience.
• High school Diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service or cashier experience.
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
• High level of energy with strong customer service skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift at least 25 lbs, and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment to provide excellent service.
• Attention to detail.
• Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints.
• Preferred bilingual, Spanish and English
