The Executive Chef will oversee complete operation of the kitchen. 5 - 10 years of experience in a leadership level kitchen position are required. Duties & Responsibilities
Kitchen Operations Oversight.
Execute and maintain quality and consistency of food with full adherence to corporate standards to acquire and protect restaurant sales - act with a sense of urgency, be friendly, professional, and engaged

Overview

Scope:
Direct and coordinate activities of the culinary department, lead the culinary team and maintain established operational standards and maximize profits.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with the national programs such as Menu Program, Approved Product List and Inventory procedures.
Responsible for selection, development and retention of talented culinary staff.
Ensure financial targets are being met and appropriate accounting procedures and monthly financial reviews are being followed consistently. If financial targets are not being met, provide an analysis of the problem and determine a specific plan of action.
Observes and coaches workers in the daily operation of the kitchen to ensure quality and timeliness of product. Review guest and member surveys and feedback and determine appropriate plan of action if appropriate.
Engineer all menus items to ensure quality and proper margins.
Create and execute short term and long term operational and financial plans for the department to improve quality and financial results.
Ensure kitchen is clean and sanitary and is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws.
Creates menus as needed for events, custom events, daily features and so on.
Identify and communicate successes and best practices to Regional Chef and/or VP Food & Beverage to help improve quality and financial results across the company.
Maintains constant communication between departments and keeps other departments informed about special programs and events.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a Chef leadership role
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree, Culinary degree or certificate preferred.
Strong attention to detail, planning and organizational skills
Experience supervising others and leading a team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Working Conditions:
Will often be required to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Certification and/or License Requirement:
Food service permit as required by local or state government agency. ServSafe certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Overview
The Executive Chef has the primary duty of managing the culinary team, a recognized department of venue's F&B operation. The Executive Chef will actively supervisor, coach, counsel, direct, train and mentor employees in meeting company qualify standards, and will independently initiate and authorize all employment actions such as hiring, termination, suspension, discipline, promotion and transfer. The Executive Chef will actively and independently manage all aspects of employee relations to ensure a positive, harmonious, compliant and cooperative work environment.
As the culinary leader of the Mercury Training Facility, the Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing all aspects of food operations for players, coaches, and staff throughout the WNBA season. This role provides leadership, vision, and hands-on execution to ensure that meals fuel peak athletic performance, align with nutrition and wellness standards, and are presented at the highest level. The Executive Chef manages the culinary team, directs menu planning and innovation, and ensures consistent excellence in food quality, safety, and service.
This is a key position for the effective and profitable operation of the business. The Executive Chef must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work a variable event-driven schedule which to evenings and weekends. Open availability, professional presentation, outstanding interpersonal skills and self-direction required.
This role will pay a salary of $75,000 to $85,000.

Supervises all line set-up, prep and breakdown activities. Responsible for in-service delegation of tasks to line personnel.
Coordinates the storage, maintenance and repair of all kitchen equipment to ensure operational readiness.
Coordinates the delivery and set-up of catered services and food service areas as needed.
