GROUP DESCRIPTION: The Chemicals team is responsible for covering a broad range of corporate and financial sponsor clients in sectors including advanced materials; petrochemicals; agriculture; diversified chemicals; basic material products; food & nutrition; and flavors & fragrances. With a team of sector-dedicated bankers, Evercore has advised on a number of high profile transactions providing strategic advisory services to a blue-chip client base.

POSITION: Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Analyst for its Chemicals Team located in New York, NY.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Evercore's differentiated approach to advisory provides Analysts with the ability to work closely with senior bankers on industry-transforming, multi-billion dollar transactions around the world. The small transaction team structure creates a strong platform for Analysts to learn investment banking and assume high levels of responsibility at early stages of their careers. As part of the team, the Analyst will have the opportunity to work on a variety of strategic advisory assignments including: sellside and buyside M&A engagements; activism and raid defense; divestitures and spin-off engagements; equity and equity-linked capital-raising; special committee engagements; debt and restructuring advisory and, more broadly, evaluation of strategic alternatives.

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS: The Analyst will be ambitious, self-directed, creative and resourceful. The candidate will be passionately interested in a career in investment banking, intellectually-curious and eager to learn. We are seeking an academically accomplished candidate with the ability to multitask. This position comes with challenging work and a demanding environment in a rapidly growing firm.

In order to continually promote and create innovative products that support our vision we are currently seeking a Chemical Analyst, 3rd shift for the Owensboro, KY facility.
Major Responsibilities:

* Performs analyses utilizing gas chromatography, ultra high pressure chromatography, and ion chromatography.
* Responsible to maintain cleanliness and orderly arrangement of Analytical laboratory.
* Provides support to Sr Analytical Chemist, Analytical Chemist, Sr Chemical Analyst, and Chemical Analyst.
* Responsible for accurate records of assigned projects.
* Knowledgeable in ISO 17025 Standard requirements.
* May be required to work additional/different shifts.
* Provides support to Production, Research and Development, Quality Assurance, and Leaf Operations.
* Knowledgeable of method validation procedures.
* Performs special projects as directed by Chemical Analysis Supervisor/Manager.
* Responsible for sample preparation and extraction as indicated by written SOP.
* Responsible for written SOPs of validated methods and procedures.
* Responsible for routine and non-routine Microbiology testing.
* Ability to review, interpret, and report analytical results using LIMS.

Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in scientific discipline such as Chemistry, Biology, related discipline or equivalent experience.

Experience: Minimum one year as a Laboratory Technician or comparable position/experience.

Skill/Knowledge: Knowledgeable in chemical laboratory safety and analytical procedures and methodologies. Knowledgeable of Microbiological procedures and equipment. Must be able to prepare concise and accurate reports.

Other: Must be able to work 3rd shift (12:00am - 8:30am, Mon - Fri).
