Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Receives general work instructions orally, from emails, data files and/or from log sheets.Monitors gages and recording instruments and adjusts valves and controls to regulate temperatures, pressures, concentration of solutions and flow of chemicals through the process systems for prescribed reaction within critical limits, according to log sheets and based on prior experience with equipment/process.Monitor equipment for possible PM/PD routine repair and interface with Area maintenance on maintenance needs.Perform minor maintenance and assist in unloading raw materials, and general cleanup work.Transfers materials from one drum to another. Under the direction of the Associate Supervisor, the Chemical Stripping Operator is responsible for mechanically and chemically removing metal depositions from and applying surface texture to various metal parts.

You will have the opportunity to:
Mechanically and chemically remove metals from PVD shield components.Mix, sample, and pump appropriate chemical solutions per operating procedures. Operate chemical process tanks.Operate sandblaster, vacuum packaging machine, and some measurement instruments.Maintain and operate wastewater treatment systems.Follow strict operating and safety procedures, wear appropriate PPE, fill in required logs and documents, and maintain traceability of all parts and removed metals.
