These oligos manufactured are used in a variety of applications including helping perform genetic research, diagnose disease and help with food supply. What will you do? You work with a team to Manufacture Custom Oligonucleotides for use in the biotech industry by following established protocols and SOP's. The team uses semi-automated and automated basic lab equipment. Regularly evaluate non-routine test results and either fail the product or allow it to continue through the production cycle. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be in one of the following two ways: Education: Completion of two (2) years of college with major coursework in chemistry, biology, microbiology or other related laboratory science. Experience: One year of general laboratory analysis experience. License or Certificate: Must obtain the California Water Environment Association (CWEA) Laboratory Analyst Grade I certificate, or the American Water Works Association (AWWA) Water Quality Analyst Grade I certificate, plus any other State-mandated certifications, as a condition of passing probation. Must possess a valid California Class C driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record as conditions of initial and continued employment.
