Qualifications: Education: A PhD in Chemistry or an MS degree or BS degree in chemistry with a minimum of 3 years of experience in organic synthesis including synthetic methodology, catalysis, biocatalysis and / or total synthesis along with a proven track record of solving problems. Must haves: Bio catalysis Biochemistry background Synthetic organic chemistry background is a must

Preferred Skills and Experience:
•Experience in biocatalysis, catalysis, automation, biochemistry and/or protein engineering
•Experience in high-throughput screening, (bio)chemical assays development desired
•Experience in synthesis, purification and analytical characterization including HPLC, MS, and NMR.
•Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team environment Software skills: Chemdraw,Agilent, Familiarity with NMR and a basic MS office suite Personality that can excel in this role! Candidates must possess strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment. Candidate must be a team player, communicative, independent and coach-able Day to day:
• Familiarity/experience with LC, NMR
• We will provide additional trainings
• Setting up experiments
• Analyzing data
• Coordination with other sites in terms of providing them with screening material
• Expect this person to have a 25% capacity in help us with managing lab and improving the work flow
• Screenings panels are well organized and well documented

*Note*: Onsite role at Rahway, NJ with possibility of extension. Willing to provide necessary training for the candidates with the tools they are not familiar with.

Responsibilities: The Process Research and Development department of Client Research Laboratories has a research chemist position available in the Rahway, New Jersey research facility.
This is phenomenal group to work with. It is a laboratory-based role to support process development in the Enabling Technologies group.
Client is seeking a candidate with experience in organic chemistry, organic synthesis, methodology/catalysis (including chemocatalysis, biocatalysis and heterogeneous catalysis), total synthesis, or biochemistry along with a proven track record of solving problems.
