Mb Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior Laboratory Analyst with clear water/wastewater laboratory experience and wastewater laboratory analysis. The Senior Laboratory Analyst will perform advanced chemical, biological, and microbiological testing in a NELAP-accredited wastewater laboratory. This role supports regulatory compliance, quality assurance, field sampling, and high-level laboratory operations.
Duties
Perform advanced analytical testing on wastewater, industrial waste, and biosolids (chemical, physical, and microbiological analyses).
Lead sampling programs, special projects, and non-routine sampling events.
Validate, interpret, and review analytical data following strict QA/QC standards.
Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory and field instrumentation.
Prepare reagents, solutions, media, and maintain laboratory inventory.
Support method development, audits, and laboratory certification requirements (NELAP).
Provide technical guidance and assist in training Laboratory Analysts.
Enter validated results into LIMS for regulatory reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related scientific discipline from an accredited college.
Bachelor's degree - One (1) year conducting analytical chemical, physical and biological wastewater testing.
Associate's degree - Three (3) years experience in analytical testing in a wastewater laboratory.
Strong expertise in QA/QC, wet chemistry, microbiology, and EPA-approved methods (BOD, COD, TSS, nutrients, pH, etc.).
Ability to operate and maintain lab instruments and configure automatic samplers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Licensing
Ability to obtain a Wastewater Laboratory Analyst II license within 24 months of hire.
Preferred
2-4 years additional NELAP experience; experience training junior staff; audit preparation background; GC/IC analytical skills.
Work Conditions
Onsite role with possible on-call, weekend, or holiday shifts.
Ability to lift to 50 lbs., climb stairs/ladders, and work in indoor/outdoor environments.
Exposure to chemicals, wastewater, fumes, and other laboratory conditions (PPE provided).

**Position Summary:**
This position will be a member of the GIS Vulnerability Identification Assurance (VIA) Vulnerability Identification QC (Quality Control) team. The full-time Pharmaceutical Quality Control Associate is responsible for completing the necessary quality checks that include but are not limited to ensuring the accuracy of repackaged medications, obtaining necessary approvals in order to move repackaged products to the next phase of processing and other duties as assigned by their supervisor. Each associate will be fully trained on how to review the necessary records as well as how they will review each type of pharmaceutical and/or OTC which could include:
• Oral solids • Liquid cups • Vials • Oral Syringes • Powders • Overwrapping • Kitting The associate will be trained and will be held responsible for maintaining the equipment, where assigned, on a shift basis which can include cleaning and general equipment troubleshooting. The technician will identify any quality control issues with their supervisor.
Mandatory Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent • North Carolina Pharmacy Technician Certification • Ability to physically perform light lifting • Ability to follow written and oral instruction • Good organizational skills • Visual acuity • Basic Math Skills • Strong attention to detail • Working knowledge of computer hardware & PC Windows • Ability to read, write and speak English Preferred: Associates Degree or higher
