**Responsibilities**
+ General understanding of analytical method development and method validation
+ Hands-on experience with chromatographic analysis using various ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and gas chromatography (GC) techniques
+ General knowledge of separations science
+ Experience with Empower chromatographic software and with analysis of drug formulations

Manage various analytical testing methods, ensuring accurate and timely results. Troubleshoot equipment and execute maintenance of equipment. Initiate technical support and service appointments as needed.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements, FDA regulations and GMPs, HACCP, as well as all BAF product safety and sanitation policies, procedures and guidelines. Assist in activities to ensure compliance with Food Safety and Quality programs including review and signoff of documentation.
Assist in audits of employees who perform quality tests for competency and adherence to written laboratory procedures used to analyze raw materials and production samples. Ensure all product attributes are being analyzed at the prescribed frequencies per the correct procedure with documented results demonstrating that specification requirements are met. When practice, procedure, frequency, or results documentation do not meet expectations, make necessary changes to bring actual into alignment with expected including submitting document change requests.
Ensure the laboratory equipped with all of the necessary, calibrated equipment necessary to complete required testing. Purchase all routinely used items in the most cost-effective manner staying within the departmental budget. Troubleshoot and make minor repairs to testing equipment.
Manage various document systems including analytical results, equipment calibration records, etc. to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Deliver accurately and on time all customer requests for documentation and samples. Coordinate the storage and rotation of all library samples and quality assurance records, ensuring that they are maintained for specified BAF time periods.
Complete regular SAFE observations within the manufacturing facility and lab areas. Ensure attendance of self and staff at all required safety meetings. Actively participate in LEAN management practices such as standard work, tiered meetings, and visual controls.
Must maintain the highest standards of ethics and integrity while embodying the company values. Must maintain the highest standards of data management by creating consistent, reliable data, to maximize the use of data and confidence in decision making. Must be responsible for upholding the principles of SQF and is responsible for immediately reporting any food safety, food quality, or plant security issues to management for appropriate action.

A sleep technician performs comprehensive sleep testing and
analysis, and associated interventions under the general supervision of a sleep technologist
and/or the medical director or designee.
II. Principal Functions and Responsibilities:
Review the patient's history and verify the medical order.
Follow sleep center protocols related to the sleep study.
When patient arrives, verify identification, collect documents and obtain consent for the study.
Explain the procedure and orient the patient for either in center or out of center sleep testing.
Select appropriate equipment and calibrate for testing to determine proper functioning and make adjustments, if necessary.
Apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards.
Perform routine positive airway pressure (PAP) interface fitting and desentization.
III. Procedures:
Follow procedural protocols (such as Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT), parasomnia studies, PAP and oxygen titration, etc.) to ensure collection of appropriate data.
Perform appropriate physiological calibrations to ensure proper signals and make required adjustments.
Follow “lights out” procedures to establish and document baseline values (such as body position, oxyhemoglobin saturation, respiratory and heart rates, etc.).
Perform data acquisition while monitoring study-tracing quality to ensure signals are artifact-free. Identify, correct and document artifact.
Document routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events, changes in procedure, and other significant events in order to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results.
Implement appropriate interventions (including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention such as positive airway pressure, oxygen administration, etc.).
Follow “lights on” procedures to verify integrity of collected data and complete the data collection process (e.g. repeat the physiological and instrument calibrations and instruct the patient on completing questionnaires, checking for completeness, etc.).
Assist with scoring sleep/wake stages by applying professionally accepted guidelines.
Assist with scoring clinical events (such as respiratory events, cardiac events, limb movements, arousals, etc.) utilizing AASM standards.
Assist with the generation of accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data.
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide age specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
