The Eberly College of Science, Department of Biology, is looking to hire Teaching Assistants (TA) to provide support to Biology courses overseen by the Teaching Faculty during the 2026-27 academic year. This position will be supervised by Carly Sjogren. The TA will help faculty organize coursework, explain biology concepts to students, and hold office hours and/or review sessions. JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Abington's Science and Engineering Division seeks an instructor in the area of Chemistry for a part-time appointment to begin Spring 2024.
Job Duties
The successful candidate will teach college level courses in either pre-general chemistry, general chemistry, or organic chemistry. Course work in general chemistry may involve laboratory instruction.
The ideal candidate should be open to offering flexibility in course scheduling and methods of course delivery.
Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants must have the ability to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse student population.
Candidates must have completed at least a Master's degree in either chemistry or a related field.
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level.
