* Participates in the development and implementation of the laboratories Performance Improvement Program.
* Participates in meetings with the laboratory management team and conducts regular communication meetings with laboratory personnel in assigned areas of responsibility.
* Works with colleagues to steward resources
* Participates in outside professional activities including seminars and professional memberships, attends unit and department meetings as required.
* Motivates, coaches, and leads colleagues for maximum teamwork, quality, and productivity.

This is a 2nd shift position primarily working 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
Minimum Requirements:
* Education: B.S. or B.A. degree, Baccalaureate or Associate degree
* Licensure / Certification: Certification in laboratory related field required for off shift and site supervisors. MLT or MT required and Medical Technologist / Scientist preferred.
* Experience: Minimum of two years relevant section(s) experience preferred.

Key responsibilities include:
Supervising craft personnel during the day shift
Directing maintenance activities and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Planning maintenance activities
Supporting maintenance needs of the foundry, including work assignments, scheduling of overtime, and training.
Analyzing maintenance work orders
Assigning maintenance personnel to complete necessary orders and coordinating maintenance workflows with production to minimize downtime.
Developing maintenance programs
Implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maintain and optimize foundry.
Daily maintenance and repair of vacuum furnaces.
Assist foundry operators with furnace graphite maintenance as required by supervision.
Assist in other plant maintenance work as may be required

QUALIFICATIONS:
General knowledge of vacuum furnace operation and repair required
General knowledge of cooling tower systems and repairs
Be available for 24/7 emergencies
Available for all foundry shutdowns
Experience in general maintenance of plant equipment.
Background in hydraulics, plumbing, electrical, pipe fitting, welding, and soldering needed.
