**Scope of Position:** Perform and document analytical testing per approved methods/procedures in accordance with GMP and GLP guidelines. Responsibilities:
+ Perform analytical testing of raw materials and drug products in accordance with GMP and GLP guidelines.
+ Perform and trouble-shoot USP, EP and in-house methods using analytical techniques/equipment including:
+ Titrations: potentiometric and colorimetric both manual and with auto titrator.
+ Standardizations of VS and reagents. A multitude of wet chemistry techniques per the USP and EP Compendia: Thin Layer Chromatography, Viscosity, Extractions, Weight Loss/Gain, Ultra Violet spectrophotometry, Infra-red spectrophotometry, Karl Fischer water content determination, loss on drying/dry to constant weight, residue on ignition, total organic compounds and conductivity, osmolality, density/specific gravity, particle size analysis
+ Computer software programs: lab equipment, Compliance-Wire, and additional computer support programs.
+ Execute investigation protocols for analytical procedures and follow up corrective actions.
+ Support process improvements and safety initiatives.
+ Suggest and implement continuous laboratory improvements.
**Qualification** s:
+ BS degree in Chemistry or related sciences. 2 years of laboratory experience.
+ Proficient in pharmaceutical analytical techniques and compendia test methods.
+ Must be able to work and problem solve independently and as part of a team.

**Pay Rate:** $19/hr
**Main activities:**
+ Composting and grinding of samples for analysis as required.
+ Perform chemical analyses such as protein, moisture, fat, ash, and other components.
+ Prepare sample for analysis according to procedure. Retrieve samples from designated areas (e.g. log-in, sample storage).
+ Perform chemical analyses of macronutrients, micronutrients or other parameters as designated.
+ Extract desired component from sample with appropriate processes so that concentration can be determined.
+ Prepare standards and reagents that are needed for the analysis procedure.
+ Write/label all samples throughout the process so that Client and sample numbers can be tracked.
+ Perform calculations, checking and interpretation of results where applicable.
+ Track status of designated tests as assigned to ensure Client turn around time commitments are met and inform supervisor of non compliance.
+ Assist other departmental personnel with analysis tasks so that testing can proceed according to specified time limits.
+ Update logbooks, transfer data and maintain records, including quality records for the specified tests, notify supervisor of any non compliant results.
