C2 Education's services are designed to provide support for all students. C2 Tutors not only teach academic skills, but also serve as mentors and coaches, encouraging and guiding students throughout the school year.

Our Tutors are paid a rate of $20.00 - $25.00/hour depending on experience, with paid training, and ongoing training. C2 Education provides an alternative work schedule M-TH and Sat(Off Friday)evening and weekend hours. There are opportunities to advance into full-time Center and Corporate positions, with great benefits provided to Part-Time employees.
Responsibilities

+ Tutor students in small groups (1-3 students maximum)

+ Tailor C2's proprietary curriculum in SAT, ACT, AP, and school subjects to students' needs.

+ Track and analyze student progress.

+ Perform team-based activities as needed.

+ Keep detailed records of tutoring sessions using C2 Student Progress Records and/or relevant forms.

+ Work closely with the Center Program Director to meet students' academic goals

Qualifications

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's Degree or higher is required.

+ Ability to teach In-person/On-Site in a center is mandatory.

+ Score at the 90-95 percentile on our diagnostic SAT or ACT assessment.

+ AP level knowledge in at least one or more subjects preferred.

+ 1-2 years of previous teaching or tutoring experience desired.

+ Pass a background check.

+ No previous teaching experience required but must have strong passion for Education and working with students K-12.

The purpose of tutoring is to increase and enhance the student's mastery of concepts or applications of a specific course of study. An Instructional Tutor assists in providing individual and small group tutoring services to BCCC students. Instructional Tutors provide students with pre-tutoring assessments to identify the student's weakness and design an individualized learning plan.

Science Tutors are responsible for preparing materials, encouraging students to participate in lessons, making sure subject matter is understood by students, monitoring progress, and maintaining attendance records. Tutors are knowledgeable in at least one of the following subject areas: General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Microbiology, General Biology, or Anatomy & Physiology.
Please note the position will be in-person, on campus.

Essential Functions:

Communicate student progress to faculty and to the Tutoring Manager;

Maintain documentation on student remediation plan, process and success;

Develop resources and practice materials for use in tutoring sessions;

Keep regular and accurate records of tutoring sessions using designated software and/or relevant forms;

Provide evaluations and other reports as requested by the CAA Director;

Attend tutor training and required meetings;

Complete and return reports of tutoring sessions in an accurate and timely manner;

Report any problems or concerns to the CAA Director immediately;

Follow all BCCC policies; establish credibility with the student and staff; and behave in accordance with the College's values and expectations;

Perform related duties as required
