Salary and other compensation
A good-faith estimate of the annual base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $213,750. Stating pay within this range may vary based on factors such as education level, experience, skills, geographic location, market conditions, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for additional bonus incentive compensation.

Position Overview
CRA's Finance Practice consultants use their expertise in finance, accounting, and economics to help their clients address significant legal and regulatory issues. Typically, we are retained to quantify economic damages in the context of large, complex commercial litigation matters. Our work often requires the development of fact-specific financial models to help our clients effectively resolve disputes involving valuation issues (shareholder class actions and other corporate valuation disputes), as well as matters regarding the functioning of financial markets and institutions (alleged market manipulation and insider trading). The analyses are summarized in the form of an expert report, which sets forth our conclusory opinions (including the underlying analytical support for those opinions) in court.
Senior Associates and Associate Principals (candidates with 5+ years of relevant post-PhD experience) work closely with senior consultants on project teams. Successful candidates have a strong working knowledge of financial, accounting, and economic concepts and a range of research and quantitative skills. A typical Senior Associate or Associate Principal would:
Independently conceptualize and identify issues, designing complex economic and financial models to analyze economic and financial data;
Guide programming, model building and/or regression analysis in statistical analysis programs (such as Stata, SAS, R or Python);
Draw conclusions and generate insights for leading academics and senior leaders based on models and data analysis;
Draft and present portions of client deliverables including expert reports summarizing our opinions, conclusions, and recommendations and third party financial, market and industry data;
Interact directly with clients (attorneys, industry professionals and government entities) on a variety of finance, strategy and economics issues;
Assist regulators and financial institutions with analysis of trading on exchanges and in OTC markets for a wide spectrum of contracts;

Supervise, coach and delegate work to junior analysts;

PhD in Finance or Accounting graduating in 2026 and those with up to 10 years of relevant post-PhD work experience.

CRA's Labor and Employment Practice provides expertise and support in a wide range of litigation disputes involving employment processes such as compensation, hiring, promotion, termination, and the role of gender, race, ethnicity and age in employment practices. Our clients, which include preeminent law firms, Fortune 500 companies, and government agencies, come to us for our technical skills, rigorous analysis, and expert insight to understand all aspects of their employment data. Senior Associates work closely with senior consultants on project teams. Successful candidates have a strong knowledge of economic concepts and a range of research and quantitative skills. A typical Senior Associate would:
Conduct research in a team-oriented environment alongside some of the most respected academics, industry experts and regulators in the world;
Use techniques from statistics, machine learning and deep learning to conduct fair lending analyses of client models and tools, such as evaluating whether models have disparate effects on different demographic groups and how those effects vary among alternative model formulations;
Program, build models and/or perform regression analyses in statistical analysis programs (such as Stata, SAS, Python, R) that clean, coordinate and analyze large volumes of data related to underwriting, pricing, and redlining analyses;
Supervise, train and mentor junior analysts;
Assist in the development and presentation of client deliverables, including expert reports and white papers to explain analytical decisions and comply with clients' model risk management and model validation requirements;
Act as a primary point of contact for attorneys and other industry or government clients on a variety of practice-relevant issues;
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of analyses and opinions;

Desired Qualifications

Position Overview
CRA's Labor and Employment Practice provides expertise and support in a wide range of litigation disputes involving employment processes such as compensation, hiring, promotion, termination, and the role of gender, race, ethnicity and age in employment practices. Senior Associates work closely with senior consultants on project teams. Successful candidates have a strong knowledge of economic concepts and a range of research and quantitative skills. A typical Senior Associate would:

Use techniques from statistics, machine learning and deep learning to conduct fair lending analyses of client models and tools, such as evaluating whether models have disparate effects on different demographic groups and how those effects vary among alternative model formulations;

Desired Qualifications

The Public Finance Initiative (PFI), a fiscally sponsored project of TSNE, works with communities and their stakeholders to develop research, education, and technical assistance programs that center the values of equity, sustainability, and inclusive growth in the domain of public finance.
TSNE (formerly Third Sector New England) (************* is a management support organization that partners every year with hundreds of nonprofits, foundations, community-based groups, and others working for social change. Our mission is to provide information and services to build the knowledge, power, and effectiveness of individuals, organizations, and groups that engage people in community and public life. The ultimate intention of TSNE's work is to create a more just and democratic society.
Responsibilities
The Associate will be responsible for supporting the Rural and Small Cities Program, a key new program at the Public Finance Initiative (PFI) that aims to shift patterns of disinvestment by building the capacity of states, counties, cities, towns, and other governments serving communities under 100,000 residents to unlock public finance resources and consider how to strategically integrate philanthropic investments. Through the Rural and Small Cities Program, PFI is focused on (1) facilitating greater investment of resources in underserved rural areas; (2) building capacity to develop and implement place-based approaches to leverage public finance to invest in critical infrastructure; (3) expanding the range of tools and resources available to leaders.
With support from the Director of the Rural & Small Cities Program, and a team of analysts, associates, and operations staff at PFI, the Associate will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and implementation of the Rural & Small Cities Program with activities that include the following:
Essential Functions
Break down complex projects into discrete tasks, coordinate day-to-day operations of assignments, and set timelines to reach key milestones and target outcomes determined by the team and partners, mutually with supervisor
Engage in strategy discussions about projects
Gather data and conduct research to support PFI's education and technical assistance work. Develop memos and other materials to summarize key findings, ideas, trends and themes.
Monitor and review sources to identify important and emerging trends from academics, policy experts, and practitioners and changes in the landscape of the project focus areas.
Create agendas/run of shows/slides and other materials, participate in calls/meetings with partners, coordinate both in-person convenings and virtual trainings alongside operations staff in the 6 states selected for the program, review insights, and capture action items.
Effectively communicate information to a diverse set of stakeholders by contributing to webinars, case studies, blog posts, and other written materials as well as presentations
Qualifications
We will consider exceptional candidates who demonstrate a strong combination of the specific qualifications and skills described below.
Experience: At least three (3) years of professional experience working to coordinate projects and conduct analysis. Direct experience working with rural areas and small cities is strongly preferred, but experience working with government stakeholders in non-profit or private sectors roles can be valuable.
