The Lead Specialist, Maintenance Operation, reports to the Manager, Maintenance and is responsible for enhancing maintenance programs across Cheniere's operating assets. This position drives strategy development, standardizes governing documents, ensures regulatory compliance, optimizes maintenance operations, and provides work management expertise to site teams. This role collaborates with site maintenance and reliability teams, engineering, operations, and leadership to drive consistency and efficiency in maintenance operations. This position offers the opportunity to influence multiple departments and engage with all levels of Cheniere, from individual contributors to Executive Management.
RESPONSIBLITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Strategy & Program Development:
Develop, implement, and standardize maintenance governing documents (e.g., standards, procedures, and best practice guidelines).
Support the continuous improvement of preventive and corrective maintenance programs to enhance facility efficiency and safety.
Collaborate with the Supply Chain Management team to ensure the maintenance groups receive necessary support in inventory management and supplier contract administration (spares management, inventory stock parameters, stock out analysis, preservation program, asset repairs/refurbishments, supplier selection, etc.)
Serve as the focal point for assurance efforts related to the maintenance key processes and the Functional Verification program.
Budget Support & Analysis:
Lead the annual budget process across all maintenance disciplines
Support cross-asset alignment of cost budgeting and capturing
Provide in-depth analysis of costs and basis for changes (+/-)
Liaison across all departments ensuring TAR schedule related activities captured within respective departmental budgets
Ensure budgeted costs accurately reported within financial reporting system
Maintenance Expertise and Analytics:
Stay informed of LNG industry trends, challenges, and regulations, proactively exploring innovative solutions to enhance maintenance practices and outcomes.
Support the development and implementation of fit-for-purpose guidelines to ensure efficient and appropriate maintenance of complex equipment and assets.
Apply project management methodologies to effectively support maintenance optimization projects and initiatives.
Review and analyze maintenance metrics to identify gaps, opportunities and propose new metrics as necessary to track performance and drive continuous improvement.

Participate and support in the selection and implementation of maintenance tools, software, and best practices to streamline workflows.
Support and actively work improve the existing maintenance technologies, software systems, and data analytics tools used for asset management and performance optimization.
Ensure efficient and coordinated usage of the CMMS and other related applications (scheduling tools, etc.).
Support the prioritization and review IT tickets associated with the CMMS and any other Maintenance applications, in coordination with sites.
Oversee the Master Data Change Request (MDCR) process within the CMMS.
Review all configuration changes, including but not limited to software upgrades, new functionalities, and master data changes common to all sites.
Support IT projects that can directly or indirectly impact Maintenance, gathering and communicating key requirements to the project team, participating in configuration and testing efforts, and ensuring the final solutions meet the Maintenance groups needs and training is properly conducted.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and innovations in maintenance and asset management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication:
Act as a liaison between maintenance support and site maintenance teams to align maintenance goals with business objectives.
Support cross-functional efforts to boost maintenance execution and efficiency.
Provide training and mentorship to site maintenance personnel to ensure adherence to corporate maintenance standards.
Act as primary contact for Cheniere Integrated Management System (CIMS) initiatives tied to key Maintenance processes.

Polar Tankers Overview
Polar Tankers, a wholly owned subsidiary of ConocoPhillips, provides marine transportation for North Slope production, using five company-owned, double-hulled tankers in addition to chartering third-party vessels as necessary. The tankers deliver oil from Valdez, Alaska, to refineries primarily on the West Coast of the United States. The company operates five Endeavour-class tankers: Polar Endeavour, Polar Resolution, Polar Discovery, Polar Adventure and Polar Enterprise.

If you are selected as the 3rd Mate, you will be working under the direction of the Master and Chief Mate. The 3rd Mate must have a good understanding of all deck machinery and cargo systems and be proficient at navigation and cargo watch keeping. The 3rd Mate is required to participate in all drills and emergencies and to assist with the enforcement of rules, procedures, regulations, and pollution prevention.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Knowledge:
The CEnv should possess a basic knowledge of environmental programs related to the Oil and Gas Industry. A basic understanding of Natural Gas Liquefaction, LNG transportation, and storage processes is preferred. The CEnv is also expected to be familiar with the various federal, state, and local agency regulations (including but not limited to FERC, PHMSA, OSHA, USCG, EPA, TCEQ, RRC, and GLO) that may impact the functional departments within the Facility.
Skills:
Proficiency in executing calculations and concepts.
Proficiency in problem solving and analytical skills.
Proficiency in interpreting PIDs, PFDs, piping isometrics, and other related engineering design drawings.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in relevant applied science discipline, engineering or 5-7 yrs of relevant experience.
Must have or be able to obtain CPR, First Aid certification, and have knowledge of basic emergency procedures.
Maintain valid driver's license, certifications, and training required to support job functions, as applicable.
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years progressive experience in environmental compliance in support of LNG, gas processing, large natural gas pipeline facilities, refinery, petrochemical infrastructure, or similar facilities.
Knowledge of TPDES permits, Tier-II reporting, PWS, SPCC and SWPPP plans, regulations, and reporting preferred.
DIRECT REPORTS
There are no direct reports reporting to this position. The CEnv is considered a role model in setting the company's environmental culture and developing similar environmental stewardship across all employees.
FREEDOM TO ACT
The CEnv has a high degree of aptitude in their field and requires moderate supervision. The CEnv will be empowered to recommend corrective actions as needed and will document the corrective actions employed that may have violated company policy, laws, and regulations pursuant to facility regulatory requirements, permits, or authorizations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, work at heights on stairs and catwalks, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear, smell, type and write.
Must be able to board ships via gangways, climb to the top of storage tanks (200+ steps), scale vertical steel ladders up to forty feet or more in height, and lift and move objects weighting up to 30 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work indoors and outdoors and be exposed to year around weather conditions.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Subject to drug and alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations or as required by Cheniere.

He/she may assist senior level mechanics in dismantling and assembling equipment/machines; repairing and replacing parts.
* Responsible for Daily Operation and Maintenance of compressors, glycol dehydration unit, B-Tex unit, incinerator, slop tanks, sumps, transfer pumps, "control air" air compressors and all equipment associated with compressor facility.
* Perform Daily checks, but not limited too;
* Glycol PH and adjust accordingly.
* Glycol pumps flow rate and pressures.
* Temperatures on compressor valves, pressure readings and flow rates.
* Check for proper operation of all sumps and dump valves.
* Check all fluid levels and operation of lubricators.
* Check air compressors, filters, oil levels, belts, pressures and bleed lines.
* Check for leaks, loose bolts, vibration or unusual noises by making visual inspection at least three times per day on all equipment.
* Accurately record all above information and any performed maintenance.
* Become certified on CO2 line, DIG TESS, location, Right of Way, signage, valve operation etc.
* Attend all DIG TESS notifications, reply accordingly and record.
* Perform oil changes on all equipment in a timely manor and record.
* Make notifications when problems are suspected.
* Order, stock and label spare equipment needed to keep facility in operation, in an orderly fashion.

* Operate in a Safe and environmentally sound manner.
