How you'll contribute
A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:
-The Registered Nurse Quality Analyst assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary.
-Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
-Assists the director in managing staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
-Assists the director by making presentations at various meetings including Quality and Safety Committee, New Employee Orientation, and others.
-May assist the director in monitoring departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
-Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary.
-Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The LifeSet Specialist:
Carries a maximum caseload of 8 to10 young adults

* The incumbent performs emergency and non-emergency dispatch and call-taking services for public safety-related incidents and operations in an emergency communications center serving a large National Park.
* Monitors and tracks equipment and personnel such as law enforcement, structural fire, wildland fire, aviation, vessels, and search and rescue using a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) program.
* Operates a multi-frequency radio console and prioritizes radio traffic and related communications.
* Utilizes NCIC and other law enforcement databases and records management systems.
* Other duties include: records management, general public assistance, assistance to other park offices and partners, and projects as assigned in support of the Visitor and Resource Protection Division.
Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
AREA INFORMATION:The Great Smoky Mountains are among the oldest mountains in the world, formed perhaps 200-300 million years ago and encompassing more than 800 square miles in the Southern Appalachian Mountains. Dominated by plant covered, gently contoured mountains, the crest of the Great Smoky Mountains forms the boundary between Tennessee and North Carolina, bisecting the Park from northeast to southwest in an unbroken chain that rises more than 5,000 feet for more than 36 miles. No other area of equal size in a temperate climate can match the Smokies amazing diversity of plants, animals, and invertebrates. GRSM is designated as an International Biosphere Reserve and is listed as a World Heritage Site.
At 522,427 acres, GRSM is one of the largest parks in the eastern United States. The Park contains 384 miles of roads; 930 miles of backcountry trails; 104 designated backcountry campsites; over 300 miles of boundary; 66 species of mammals; 200 species of birds; 39 species of reptiles, 43 species of amphibians; 68 species of fish; 730 miles of fishable streams; 342 structures, 97 of them historic; 10 auto campgrounds; and 3 major developed areas with concession operations. The park is in the states of Tennessee and North Carolina and is surrounded by five counties and National Forest land. Duty station is near Gatlinburg, TN located within an hour drive of Knoxville. The area provides a wide range of residential communities, good schools, and recreational opportunities.

EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: Serving as a senior dispatcher in a complex dispatch environment of multiple units, jurisdictions, and/or agencies, provides training and/or assistance to problems encountered by lower-level or newer dispatchers, and informs them on the proper policies and procedures as required. Provides technical guidance, orientation, and training to new employees or lower-level dispatchers. Troubleshoots radio and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system issues and notifies the appropriate personnel or Dispatch Supervisor of the issues. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid NCIC certificate. You must include hours per week worked.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Physical Demands: Incumbent must function efficiently in a confined space for extended periods with no breaks and no opportunity to leave the confines of the Communications Center. The dispatcher is considered an "essential employee," meaning he/she is required to work most holidays, report for duty during adverse weather conditions, and be expected to work for long hours exceeding normally scheduled shifts in case of emergencies. Position is sedentary with high amounts of stress. Incumbent is subject to shift work, rotating shift work, and uncommon tours of duty. Work requires use of the voice in vocal communications for periods of hours at a time. Voice must be clear, audible, and tone effective with words plainly spoken and understandable. Incumbent must be able to hear clearly and discern a variety of audible communications and signals simultaneously. Incumbent must be able to read critical information from multiple sources, including computer screen, fax, and written log quickly and accurately. The work is of an emergency nature and is emotionally stressful. Incumbent must possess manual dexterity sufficient to operate computer terminals/keyboards and related equipment and to maintain written logs. Work involves occasional lifting of boxes and supplies up to weights of 50 pounds.
Working Conditions: The work is normally performed in a well-lighted and temperature controlled room. Noise levels are routinely high due to electronic equipment, telephones, radios, and other discussions ongoing in the performance of duties. The setting is typically confined and secure, and entrance and egress is controlled. During the training period and/or on other occasions, the incumbent will be assigned to accompany field law enforcement personnel in patrol vehicles to learn or gain a more detailed familiarization with agency field operating procedures and jurisdictional boundaries. Incumbent may not leave the center unless relieved by another qualified dispatcher.

Appalachian Community Services (ACS) is seeking a full-time Qualified Professional-Mobile Crisis Counselor to support ACS in various functions that span across all locations, disabilities, and service locations. These functions include access to care and emergency services.
Build Your Purpose. As a Mobile Crisis Professional, you will be responsible for providing the full range of functions to meet the access and emergency needs of consumers.
Position Highlights:
Provide crisis assessments to individuals to in Western North Carolina
Collaborate with EMS as needed to respond to community crisis calls
Serve consumers of all ages and disabilities, requiring cross-disability diagnostic and assessment skills
Work with individuals experiencing severe and persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorders
Support high-risk, complex cases with elevated levels of need
Deliver Mobile Crisis Management services, which are direct, periodic, and available 24/7

Education:
A bachelor's degree in human services or related field

JOB SUMMARY:
Supervise the operation of one or more table games on an assigned shift while placing special emphasis on guest service, enhancing the guest experience, and engaging in service recovery. Monitors employee performance, ensuring adherence to various regulations and Company policy; issues or recommends discipline or recognition and Caesars Rewards awards as appropriate. Perpetuates employee motivation utilizing positive recognition and corrective coaching. In addition, ensures game integrity and provides security of departmental assets.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish and endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values
Serve as a dynamic and energetic leader, while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation, and open communication

Provide appropriate recognition and rewards to individuals and groups when consistent superior performance is attained
Counsel, guide, coach, evaluate, and instruct assigned personnel in the proper performance of their duties, using positive recognition and corrective coaching to motivate personnel
Monitor and evaluate performance of assigned team of dealers and daily pit staff to ensure they are adhering to all applicable state and federal regulations, the requirements of their s, and Company policy and procedures
Use independent judgment to issue or recommend employee discipline when violations are observed, and to issue or recommend awards for exemplary employee performance
Participate and provide recommendations in the hiring, performance evaluation, and termination processes
Make and change assignments as business needs dictate based on assessment of the skill, experience, and temperament of dealers and other staff
Prepare and coordinate the periodical performance review of assigned personnel
Alert Casino Manager to potential safety problems
Maintain key security
Display a working knowledge of all table games, house rules, counting methods and procedures covering each game in an assigned area
Remain alert to any unusual or questionable activities being displayed by any Table Games employee or gaming guest and escalates when appropriate
Change cards/dice
Open and close games
Verify fill slips, credit slips, and markers pertaining to games in the assigned area
Settle disputes that arise from guests in the Table Games area, referring those at a pre-determined threshold or a certain degree of difficulty to Table Games Manager
Ensure dealers are delivering the highest quality of guest service
Take ownership and accountability of all table games overseen, lead team to provide excellent gaming experience for guests
Handle and intervene when problems or differences between Table Games employees and gaming guests arise and provide assistance, problem resolution and service recovery, if necessary
Assure guest development by 1) interacting with guests, 2) modeling interactive skills with guests and fellow employees
Ensure that team members clearly understand and are held accountable for their performance expectations
Prepare and coordinate the periodical performance review of assigned personnel
Demonstrate excellent facilitator skills in resolving conflicts between different points of view
Manage labor, supplies and other expense items in a manner consistent with company strategy
Responsible for, or actively participates in, the initiation of personnel actions including but not limited to interviews, training, candidate selection, terminations, performance reviews, promotions, transfers and disciplinary actions
When assigned to the Poker Room, is responsible to assist department management in the efficient operation of all Poker tables including accounting and administrative functions
Maintain a working knowledge of all local jurisdictional gaming laws, liquor laws and table games and poker regulations
Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner
MINIIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED required
BSBA degree from an accredited educational institution preferred
Two to five years casino experience with direct dealing with the game(s) contained in assigned pit area required
One-year supervisory experience preferred
Proficient in Blackjack and at least 1 other major game (Craps, Roulette, or Baccarat) required
Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:

What are the duties of a Probation/Parole Officer?
