A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SWIM AND FITNESS OPERATIONS INTERN
We depend on you as our Swim and Fitness Operations Intern to help oversee member services and the general day-to-day operations of our aquatic and fitness centers. You oversee and assist shift workflow including opening and closing the aquatic facilities and ensuring lifeguards are rotating on time and are on task. The aquatic and fitness spaces are always safe and clean due to your dedication to providing exceptional experiences for our members. You clean, sanitize, organize, remove trash, and stock towels, beverages, equipment, and other supplies. As you maintain a continuous presence on the pool deck, you are able to build strong professional relationships with members and staff.
Additionally, you oversee, assist, and inspect the seasonal pools. Your management skills are essential as you help with swim and fitness programs and events, including pool parties, swim team practices, meets, and social events. In this internship, you also have the opportunity to be cross-trained. This allows you to assist or relieve fitness receptionists, pool kiosk attendants, and locker room attendants as needed. You may even step in for Operations Managers at certain times. You enjoy interacting with a variety of people throughout your shift and feel good about the part you play in keeping our members coming to our country club.

Position Overview: Reporting to Director - Events, this position will assist in the planning and execution of events including but not limited to the All Comers Track & Field series, Braves Country 5K and Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race. This position will help drive operational and logistical plans leading up to, on and after event days.
Responsibilities:
•Administrative duties including, but not limited to, acting as a point of contact for vendors, members and partners; meeting coordination; drafting communication
•Management of projects and tasks as required, including creating plans, tracking status and executing on responsibilities within projects
•Drive strong cross-department collaboration enabling the organization to use its events to further enhance strategic initiatives and objectives
•Represent Atlanta Track Club externally by ensuring all external communication is professional, timely and accurate
•Supporting Atlanta Track Club events through pre- and post-event tasks, projects and event day responsibilities
•Creation and presentation of an after-action report summarizing experience.

• Capture photos and videos of the event for use in social media and marketing materials

Our interdisciplinary model for service combines free legal and social services with bridge-building policy advocacy, and research-based training and education. We amplify the voices of survivors in communities, courts, and Congress to create a world where all people share equal rights and live in safety and with dignity.
We specialize in the representation of immigrant survivors of domestic violence, trafficking, and other violent crimes who seek immigration relief under the Violence Against Women Act and the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, as well as of refugees fleeing gender-based persecution who seek protection under U.S. asylum laws. Our legal advocacy includes both direct service to individuals and broader efforts to transform policies, develop regulations, and set precedent so that systemic change will ensure the long-term protection of individuals from violence due to their gender.

Duties and Responsibilities
Research and draft memos, briefs, declarations, and other documents
Engage in the development of legal strategy for appellate and impact litigation
Assist with representation of immigrant clients in Atlanta Immigration Court
Interview clients by phone and in person
Fill out and file immigration forms and documents
Otherwise support the staff attorneys with pending cases
Requirements
Enrollment in law school
Excellent research, writing and analytical skills

Compensation: Tahirih pays interns a $5000 stipend for completing 300 hours over the course of the summer

In the summer of 2018, ASC's Education Department will offer internship opportunities, detailed below. The internships are designed to allow qualified undergraduate students to learn about Teaching Artistry and arts administration.
Shakespeare Superheroes Internship: The Shakespeare Superheroes Intern will assist in several sessions of Shakespeare Superheroes, a summer camp designed to introduce elementary and middle school students to the language, stories, characters, and ideas in Shakespeare's plays in imaginative and playful ways. The Shakespeare Superheroes Intern will work in camp sessions from May 29-June 22 and from July 9-20. The Intern will assist ASC's professional Teaching Artists in leading theater games, teaching stage combat and dances, and helping students rehearse scenes from
Romeo and Juliet
and
Two Gentlemen of Verona
in preparation for a final performance for family and friends. Camp sessions will be located at the Decatur Friends Meeting House and at the Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse. When the Shakespeare Superheroes Intern is not in the classroom, he or she will complete administrative work in the Education Department, which will include completing projects relating to curriculum development, program production, sales, and fundraising. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday beginning on Thursday, May 24 and ending on Tuesday, July 31. The ideal candidate for this internship is a college undergraduate studying acting, directing, theatre, education, or English literature who has significant experience teaching performing arts to young children.
Shakespeare Intensive for Teens Internships: The two Shakespeare Intensive for Teens Interns will assist in Shakespeare Intensive for Teens (SIT), which is an audition-based student summer program for teenagers, who rehearse and perform a Shakespeare play and gain pre-professional training in performing Shakespeare. One SIT intern will work with the June session of SIT, which runs from May 29-June 25, and the other SIT Intern will work with the July session of SIT, which runs from July 1-July 30. Both sessions of SIT will be located at the Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse. When an SIT Intern is not in the classroom, he or she will complete administrative work in the Education Department, which will include completing projects relating to curriculum development, program production, sales, and fundraising. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday beginning on Thursday, May 24 and ending on Tuesday, July 31. The ideal candidates for the two SIT Internship positions are college undergraduates studying acting, directing, theatre, or theatre education who have substantial performance experience and experience educating children and teenagers. SIT Internship candidates should indicate in their letter of interest if they have skills in any of the following categories: other types of performance, clown work, dance, stage combat, costuming, and stage management.
