The facility includes 21 beds, a four-bed behavioral health pod, a private OB specialty room, two trauma/resuscitation bays, and the use of telemedicine to consult with other specialists in neurology and emergency medicine. You will experience interdisciplinary teamwork and comradery in this well-equipped ED, as you work side by side with other nurses, techs, health unit coordinators, providers, and associate providers. You will perform as a member of the healthcare team to apply the nursing process when making nursing judgments and decisions specific to assessment, planning, implementation/delivery, and evaluation of patient care, and documenting relevant data and care processes.
Cheshire's ED serves a diverse population of patients from this rural community, from newborn to end of life, including students from Keene State College. You can expect scheduling flexibility and a self-schedule format, working 12-hour shifts starting at 7am and 7pm, or swing shifts starting at 11am and 3pm-including every other or every third weekend. The average nurse-to-patient ration is 5-to-1, with smaller ratios with higher patient acuity.
Qualifications: Must be a currently licensed RegisteredNurse in the State of New Hampshire with a minimum of one year nursing experience preferred. Current certification in BCLS is required. Excellent assessment, communication, interpersonal, and organizational/ time management skills are vital. Must demonstrate the ability to work well as a member of a team and respond calmly and effectively in a fast paced environment and during a crisis and/or emergency. Computer skills also required.
This ED is an excellent place to gain diverse experiences and training for professional development, with a clinical educator, case studies, and chart reviews performed between leadership and staff. You will also find free online training resources including quality improvement through the Value Institute Learning Center at Dartmouth Hitchcock Health. You can access valuable certifications for CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse), TCRN (Trauma Certified RegisteredNurse), ENPC (Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course), and TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum), and stay involved with other available educational resources through the shared governance model.

WACHU, as it is known, is often the most joyous unit of Cheshire Medical Center. You will find it well-equipped for a small, community hospital, with four labor rooms, one operating room, and separate facilities for postpartum patients. The unit offers hydrotherapy for pain management in labor, includes a nursery for infant testing or post-resuscitation care, and even has its own negative pressure room. In this unit, you gain experience in everything from labor and delivery to postpartum mothers and babies and gynecological patients.
The WACHU is baby-friendly, although we care for a wide variety of patients and use a lot of skills. We have a wide range of experience levels on the unit, and we are a great team; we really work well together and care about each other. You will provide nursing care to patients from infancy through the adult lifespan, utilizing knowledge of age-related growth and development to individualize the nursing process in accordance with the nursing philosophy and objectives, the standards of care, and the standards of practice. You can expect to work 12-hour shifts on a four-week schedule, with every other weekend off. Your orientation and training will be extensive, usually eight weeks in postpartum and 12 weeks in labor and delivery. Additional certifications available include Neonatal Resuscitation Program, STABLE, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NCC nursing certifications. Growth and advancement are encouraged through committee and meeting involvement, shared governance, practice improvement projects, and charge nurse training. Qualifications: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. Previous medical-surgical RN experience required; Pediatric experience preferred. Current New Hampshire RN license required. * Ensure proper care, management, and compliance of midlines and PICCs.
* Act as a resource and expert in vascular access, ensuring optimal device selection for each patient's needs (short PIVs, ultrasound guided PIVs, extended dwell long PIVs, Midlines, and PICCs).

Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current New Hampshire RN license (or ability to obtain). ACLS certification required. Radiology nursing experience preferred. Critical care experience preferred.

Caring for patients with a variety of medical conditions as well as post-operative patients. You can be part of this competent and committed team performing an exciting diversity of caregiving tasks. Most of our patients are elderly, but we can also see patients as young as 18. You will find that Kingsbury has a good mix of staff experience, and is welcoming to newly licensed individuals. As a member of this excellent team, you can expect to work 12-hour shifts every other weekend and every other holiday rotation, according to the needs of the department.
Under the general supervision of the Nursing Team Leader, Clinical Leader and/or the Department Director and under the general direction of the department physicians, you will perform as a member of the healthcare team to apply the nursing process when making nursing judgments and decisions specific to assessment, planning, implementation/delivery, and evaluation of patient care, and documenting relevant data and care processes.
We work closely with the education department and the unit educator to ensure everyone is following evidence-based practice. PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT - The LNA Intern Program allows nursing students the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive clinical environment working side-by-side with highly skilled RN Preceptors who will facilitate the learning experience. This program assists the Intern to develop a greater level of self-confidence. The Intern will have the opportunity to build upon clinical skills, improve communication, critical thinking and time-management skills. This program builds on the fundamentals of nursing education, theoretical knowledge, awareness of the role of the professional nurse and an understanding of organizational structure and operations within an acute care setting.
The LNA Intern will be working two 12-hour shifts as an LNA on one of our units and doing one 12-hour shift shadowing a Nurse Preceptor on a unit that they are interested in.
Minimum Qualifications: -Must have successfully completed Junior Year of an accredited RN Program and currently enrolled in good standing. -Current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is strongly preferred. -Resume and one (1) letter of recommendation (on school letterhead) from a nursing faculty member. The letter should address these personal attributes: communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, personal motivation and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. -Current unofficial transcript.
Required Licensure/Certification Skills: -Current and active NH LNA license -Current BLS certification for the Healthcare provider -Satisfactory completion of a Dartmouth Health pre-employment physical, immunization and relevant background checks.
