Patrols assigned areas of hospital campus to maintain an orderly and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Enforces Hospital policies and procedures, and applicable local and state laws. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron (CHMCA).
Responsibilities:
1. Actively patrol assigned area of jurisdiction on foot or in a vehicle, checking buildings and surrounding areas for criminal activity or unsafe conditions.
2. Working independently with minimal supervision, respond to all assigned calls for police services, including, but not limited to; violent persons, hazardous situations, medical and mental health emergencies, and non-criminal assistance to the campus community.
3. Knowledge and adherence of department policies, procedures, as well as City, State, and Federal law.
4. Observe traffic hazards and conditions, and recommend corrective actions, investigate traffic accidents, enforce traffic laws and parking violations, assist motorists with disabled vehicles, and direct traffic.
5. Ability to effectively communicate and use police radio, computer, email, and telephone.
6.Interact with diverse populations with respect and dignity of cultural norms and practices.
7.Make arrests for violations of laws or ordinances, prepare and file necessary court documents, testify in court, transport prisoners.
8.Interview complainants, victims, witnesses, and suspects, analyze report information to enhance enforcement, investigative or safety efforts and prepare written reports in the record management system.
9.Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain certifications, enhance skills, and uphold best practices in law enforcement.
10. Engage in community policing initiatives, fostering positive relationships with patients, visitors, and staff, and collaborate to resolve safety concerns and enhance community trust.
11. Perform any other assigned duties/tasks related to the needs of the department, meet and maintain any performance standards established for the position.

1. Experience containing and control crowds in order to preserve peace, providing a safe environment during large events.

Education and Experience

Construction documentation management, including but not limited to applying for building permits, surveys, testing and inspections, in conjunction with projects' superintendents
Coordinate and expedite materials and services for the job sites, in conjunction with superintendents
Manage labor relations and work with appropriate internal personnel to resolve labor issues
Analyze actual costs to estimates and document variances
Prepare and update cash flow projections and if required using a cost-loaded schedule
Oversee, manage and/or complete change management processes
Review and coordinate structural, architectural and MEP drawings throughout project
Oversee the MEP Coordination process and 3D or BIM utilization to assure project coordination is accurately being implemented
Manage the Job Close out Process including Contracts with Owner, subcontractors and vendors, and obtain all necessary warrantees and releases
With company and project executives, perform business development functions to obtain future work
Do you have what it takes?
Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering; 5-7 years' experience in progressively responsible roles in construction management or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to deal with situations involving sensitive and confidential company issues
Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels, both internally and externally
Knowledge of budgeting and expense control
Well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities
Able to write reports, business correspondence
Able to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines
Knowledge of all different construction delivery systems
Strong attention to detail

Resident Care Companions and STNAs enjoy interacting with residents while engaging in the activities of daily living.
Assist residents with daily personal care routines such as showers, bathing, personal hygiene, etc.
Help residents prepare for and escort them to meals, activities, social programs and appointments.
Assist residents with various other daily needs as necessary.
What experience or skills do you need to be a Resident Care Companion or STNA?
STNA certification required for STNA positions.
No certification required for Resident Care Companion positions.
Experience working in a similar capacity in a Senior Living setting is helpful, but not required.
