The position resides in the Intellectual Property Law Group and reports to the Patent Team Supervisor. This position will be based in Chevron's facilities in Houston, TX.
The Patent Agent is a quick decision maker operating in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will lead business units in developing and managing patents and other intellectual property to create competitive advantage for Chevron, and will support the mitigation and management of intellectual property risks to the enterprise. A Patent Agent collaborates with business unit managers and IP attorneys to design, adapt, and deploy strategies that will ensure appropriate management of Chevron's intellectual property and secure commercial value.
Responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to:
Exercise and maintain authoritative technical knowledge of technologies for assigned technology area(s).
Lead and organize efforts to identify inventions and develop invention disclosures. Assist inventors with the preparation and submittal of invention disclosures, instruct inventors in legal requirements for patentable inventions, and advise on research data needed to support patentability of inventions.
Develop and/or provide training on IP related topics.
Critically review and evaluate invention disclosures. Perform technical analysis of inventions and conduct, direct, and evaluate patentability searches.
Develop and implement intellectual property strategies for managing innovations, intellectual property portfolios, and trade secrets for assigned technology area(s).
Maintain an understanding of third party patents relevant to Chevron's businesses, and assist IP attorneys with freedom-to-operate studies.
Exercise knowledge of U.S. and foreign patent laws and procedures.
Independently prepare, and oversee the preparation of, patent applications, and prosecute U.S. and foreign patent applications to maximize protection and value for inventions.
Conduct publication reviews for IP related considerations.
Provide technical support and expertise for IP related disputes, litigation, and administrative proceedings.
Lead and/or support patent portfolio reviews.
Collect patent filing statistics and other department metrics to assess performance of IP Legal support.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or comparable scientific discipline.
Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office in 2023 or earlier.
Works well in a fast-paced, team environment.
Excellent analytical skills and judgment.
Able to initiate and maintain effective communications with researchers, business leaders, and legal colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or comparable scientific discipline.
Substantial experience (5+ years) independently drafting and prosecuting applications directed to inventions in the chemical arts, preferably in a law firm environment.
Experience in supporting landscape, patentability, freedom to operate, and invalidity assessments.
Experience in independently engaging with and providing IP counsel to clients.

**About the role**
The Sr. Traveling Wellfield Technician is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, repair, installation, and performance of the assigned landfill gas collection and control systems. Travel will be required primarily to locations in Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Kansas City. locations will vary, and the candidate must be willing to travel to sites across the U.S. as needed. Travel is 75 percent or greater.

+ Responsible for the operation and trouble-shooting of the wellfield and control devices in safe, efficient, and productive manner to maintain compliance with the site-specific Title V Operating Permit, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), and prescribed safety and environmental standards and applicable state, federal and local rules and regulations.
+ Maintains daily logs and obtains readings in accordance with prescribed standards.

**About the role**
The Field Service/Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly skilled mechanical, electrical, electronic and instrumentation work in the installation, commissioning, repair, and maintenance of Archaea plant equipment, including but not limited to: troubleshooting simple to complex issues, rigging, maintaining and repairing pumps, engines, electric motors, fans, compressors, piping, valves, filters, traps, vaporizers, heat exchangers, gas meters, gas, instrumentation, MCC's, VFD's, and fire detection equipment.
**Key accountabilities**
+ Works closely with the plant operations team in the troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment.
+ Repair, replace, and adjust malfunctioning equipment to restore proper operating conditions specified in regulations and repair manuals.
+ Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment as needed.
+ Tests and calibrates, to established industry standards, equipment such as pressure and temperature transmitters, valve positioners, pneumatic controllers, electronic controllers, pressure and temperature switches and other process control equipment.
+ Records equipment readings, interprets abnormal readings and alarms to take pre-designated corrective action including activation of emergency equipment and procedures.
+ Performs equipment inspections to ensure that the equipment is safely maintained and operable; performs related testing and repair as needed.
+ Calibrates electronic instrumentation, verifies, and adjusts equipment tolerances and records results on calibration checklists.
+ Performs work orders for inspections and both preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with company procedures.

+ Assists the bid solicitation process from equipment suppliers and oversees procurement of major control systems components such as switchgear, custom control panels, MCC's, PLC's, and HMI systems if requested
+ Assists with quality control over all new control systems equipment, performing pre-delivery inspections and tests at supplier facilities where needed.
+ Observes operating of installed equipment to detect hazards, problems, and the need for service, repair/replacement of mechanical components and necessary adjustments.
+ Assist other maintenance team members in repairs and downtime events.
+ Work shift is 10 hours per day 4 days per week. The work schedule is subject to change per business needs and management discretion.

The Market Risk Analyst position is responsible for monitoring trading activities for compliance with Market Risk Management policies and developing and maintaining tools for Global Trading activities. You will be responsible for independently identifying, measuring, and reporting trading gross margin, exposures, and the market risk of the portfolio of transactions that are executed and owned by the Commercial organization. Responsibilities
Apprenticeship Opportunities are available in the following fields: Process Technician, Instrument Technician and Millwright Technician.
Process Technician
Process Technicians operate equipment in assigned areas of the plant and perform operations related activities per the work process. They utilize chemical manufacturing knowledge and experience to operate and troubleshoot the plant in a safe and efficient manner. One Process Technician could be placed in our Gulf Cost Pipeline team.
Primary Responsibilities and Key Skills
Routine operation of basic control systems and devices to monitor levels, temperatures, pressures and flow rates, and transfer of products.
Controlling, monitoring and adjustment of all control systems and manually operated equipment.
Properly lifting hoses, bolt flanges and operate valves and similar equipment including the proper clearing and isolation of equipment.

Educational Requirements
A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
Individuals who are currently enrolled in high school or college or have graduated or received a GED within the last two years will be required to provide official transcripts/GED scores prior to being invited to an onsite interview.
Must have completed Algebra or Technical Math and Science coursework in High School, per graduation requirements. Completion of Chemistry and / or Physics coursework in High School is preferred.
If already enrolled in the degree program related to the field you applied for or have credits that would transfer toward it, individual must have no less than 2 full semesters remaining toward the applicable degree.

About You and This Role
We are seeking candidates for exciting and rewarding Apprenticeship opportunities available at our facilities in Houston, TX, Deer Park, TX, La Porte, TX, and Texas City, TX within the U.S. Apprenticeship Program.
As part of the U.S. Apprenticeship Program, Apprentices participate in a 2-3 year program offering hands-on work experience in our chemical plants while attending community college to earn a company-paid Associate's degree. During the program, Apprentices will be offered paid tuition, wages, and some benefits. Upon successful completion of the program, Apprentices will have earned an Associate's Degree in one of several technical disciplines. Apprentices will report to an Apprenticeship Program Leader who will support the Apprentice throughout the apprenticeship program. Apprentices who successfully complete the program will also be highly considered for a job within the company.
Individuals selected to fill an available Apprentice opening will be required to sign an offer letter that will commit them to working for Dow for 2 years upon being offered a full-time position.
The hourly rate of pay for this role will be at least $25.38. The exact pay rate will be communicated if you are chosen to receive an offer of employment. The hourly pay rate is set by the Company and is non-negotiable.
Expected hire date for these opportunities is June 8th, 2026; but it could go onto August 3rd, 2026 at the latest.
Responsibilities
Apprenticeship Opportunities are available in the following fields: Process Technician, Instrument Technician and Millwright Technician.
Process Technician
Process Technicians operate equipment in assigned areas of the plant and perform operations related activities per the work process. They utilize chemical manufacturing knowledge and experience to operate and troubleshoot the plant in a safe and efficient manner. One Process Technician could be placed in our Gulf Cost Pipeline team.
Primary Responsibilities and Key Skills
Routine operation of basic control systems and devices to monitor levels, temperatures, pressures and flow rates, and transfer of products.
Controlling, monitoring and adjustment of all control systems and manually operated equipment.
Properly lifting hoses, bolt flanges and operate valves and similar equipment including the proper clearing and isolation of equipment.
Following operating discipline, procedures, and practices to ensure a safe and efficient operation of assigned duties.
Troubleshoot process, product quality, safety, and environmental problems, and identify equipment requiring maintenance.
How to perform maintenance and project work safely and efficiently.
Clearing and tagging equipment as required and issuing Safe Work Permits for maintenance and project work.
Performing all duties with a high degree of dedication to safety and environmental stewardship.
Millwright/Mechanical Technician
Millwright/Mechanical Technicians install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair process and mechanical equipment used in industrial processing. The mechanical equipment may include ANSI (American National Standards Institute) pumps, various types of compressors, blowers, fans, gearboxes, mixers and agitators.
Primary Responsibilities and Key Skills
Maintaining and repairing all types of mechanical equipment.
Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and replacing defective equipment parts.
Reading blueprints and design drawings.
Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
Procedure use - this includes field use, review, revision, and development of procedures.
Instrument Technician
Instrument Technicians install, maintain and repair the measuring and control instruments used in industrial processing. They work with a wide variety of pneumatic, electronic and microcomputer instruments used to measure and control variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, level, motion, force, and chemical composition to support the process plants.

Maintaining and repairing all types of instrument systems.

Educational Requirements
A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
Individuals who are currently enrolled in high school or college or have graduated or received a GED within the last two years will be required to provide official transcripts/GED scores prior to being invited to an onsite interview.
Must have completed Algebra or Technical Math and Science coursework in High School, per graduation requirements. Completion of Chemistry and / or Physics coursework in High School is preferred.
If already enrolled in the degree program related to the field you applied for or have credits that would transfer toward it, individual must have no less than 2 full semesters remaining toward the applicable degree.
After an offer of employment, but prior to date of hire, must complete college entrance exams / assessments at the community college to be attended. Must not be required to take any remedial or transitional coursework.
