The Blackhawks played at Chicago Coliseum, 16th and Wabash, before moving into Chicago Stadium in 1929.

Stanley Cup – 1934 The 1934 Stanley Cup Final NHL championship series was contested by the Chicago Black Hawks and the Detroit Red Wings.

The vivid color appeared in the logo in 1935.

The 1936 logo palette included two more colors in addition to black and white.

They won their second Cup four years later in 1938 when they beat the Toronto Maple Leafs three games to one.

In 1941, the logo was a bit overhauled, still depicting an iconic Indian’s head.

In 1955, the Blackhawks introduced a new Chicago Blackhawks logo.

The 1960s was a period of renaissance for Chicago as squads featuring future Hall of Famers Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, Glen Hall, and Pierre Pilote advanced to three Stanley Cup finals and won the franchise’s third title with an underdog win over the Detroit Red Wings to cap off the 1960–61 season.

The 1961 Stanley Cup Final was contested by the Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks.

The text part was present on early logos – up to 1964 – chopped grotesque typeface from the Sans Serif category.

The form of the seal was replaced in 1965 by the image of an Indian, formerly in the middle of the circle.

Most Goals, Season: Bobby Hull (1968-69), 58

In the 1969–70 season the “Hawks” acquired goaltender Tony Esposito, who would go on to set the franchise record with 418 wins and be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Notably, Mikita, Hull, Esposito, and Keith Magnuson anchored a Black Hawk team that lost a dramatic seven-game Stanley Cup final to a dominant Canadiens team in 1970–71.

The second best start to a season was the 1972 Chicago Black Hawks, who started the season going 5-0.

In 1987, the team changed their name to the Chicago Blackhawks.

The 2010 Stanley Cup Final was the best-of-seven NHL championship series of the 2010 Stanley Cup playoffs contested between the Western Conference champion Chicago Blackhawks and the Eastern Conference champion Philadelphia Flyers. It was Chicago’s eleventh appearance in the Final and their first since 1992, a loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Chicago made the playoffs for the first time since 2002, but they lost to the Detroit Red Wings in the Western Conference finals.

In 2005 Toews enrolled at the University of North Dakota, where he played centre on the school’s hockey team.

He garnered attention for his offensive play, and in the 2006 NHL draft he was selected third overall by the Blackhawks, an “Original Six” team that had struggled in recent years.

During his first season with Chicago (2007–08), he scored 24 goals and was nominated for the Calder Trophy for best rookie in the NHL, an award won by his frequent linemate Patrick Kane; Kane and Toews were intended to be the core of the Blackhawks’s efforts to rebuild.

In 2008, the Chicago Blackhawks logo was recognized the best in the NHL according to a quiz of the League’s fans. “It is the very recognizable emblem, which carries a special message and inspires rivals to countless imitations.

In 2009 he appeared in his first All-Star Game, and he finished the regular season with 34 goals and 35 assists.

The 2010 Stanley Cup Final was the best-of-seven NHL championship series of the 2010 Stanley Cup playoffs contested between the Western Conference champion Chicago Blackhawks and the Eastern Conference champion Philadelphia Flyers.

In 2012–13 the team won another Presidents’ Trophy by posting the best record in the league during a lockout-shortened campaign, which included an NHL-record 24 consecutive games without a regulation loss to start the season.

The best start to a Blackhawks season was the 2013 Chicago Blackhawks, who started the season 6-0.

He added a second gold medal as part of the Canadian team that triumphed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

In 2015–16 he averaged a career-low 0.73 point per game, and the Blackhawks were eliminated in the opening round of the playoffs for the first time in four seasons.

He scored a career-low 20 goals during the 2017–18 season, as the Blackhawks posted a losing record for the first time in Toews’s career, ending the team’s nine-year playoff streak.

Toews’s individual play bounced back in 2018–19, as he set a new career high by tallying 81 points (35 goals, 46 assists), but the Blackhawks again failed to qualify for the postseason.

Chicago returned to playoffs in the 2019–20 season, which was shortened because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but lost in the first round.

In 2020, the Chicago Blackhawks lost to the Vegas Golden Knights in the First Round.
