The Director of Marketing and Communications (DMC) leads the strategy, planning, and execution of all internal and external communications for Chicago Children's Advocacy Center (ChicagoCAC). This role is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communications policies, procedures, and brand standards that elevate the organization's visibility, reinforce its mission, build trust in its brand, and strengthen stakeholder engagement. As a key member of the Development and Marketing leadership team, the DMC also oversees fundraising communications, media relations, and crisis communications.

Primary Responsibilities:
Strategic Communications & Brand Leadership
Directs and oversees the implementation of communications and marketing strategies, ensuring consistency, effectiveness, and alignment with Chicago CAC's brand and mission.
Establishes the vision for brand alongside executive leadership
Sets graphic design standards to ensure consistency across publications, announcements, collateral, digital media, social platforms, and video.
Develops, strategizes, and maintains the external website, ensuring information accuracy and alignment with organizational priorities.
Leads strategic advertising and public relations efforts in collaboration with executive leadership.
Safeguards and promotes ChicagoCAC's reputation through crisis communications planning and execution, ensuring timely, accurate, and compassionate messaging that protects the organization's reputation and reinforces trust among stakeholders.
Content, Media, and Campaign Management
Oversees timely production of print and digital media and manages the external calendar.
Navigates storytelling efforts and supports content curation that highlights client, partner and community voices in partnership with the Marketing and Communications Specialist.
Manages media requests, writes press releases, organizes media coverage for key events, and responds to press inquiries-particularly those of a sensitive nature.
Implements internal communications strategies to foster transparency, alignment, and staff engagement across departments in partnership with department leads.
Prepares and maintains branding assets, images, and video libraries for organizational and press use.
Cultivates strong relationships with local and national reporters, editors, and media outlets to proactively secure press coverage and elevate ChicagoCAC's visibility through strategic media placements.
Oversees metrics reporting and data analysis, using analytics tools to track engagement, trends, and communications effectiveness.
Team & Project Oversight
Oversees communication vendor and internal partnerships to align content strategies with departmental goals.
Supervises Marketing and Communications Specialist, interns, and volunteers, and manages departmental budget and spending. Provides guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality execution of campaigns and alignment with organizational priorities.
Champions professional growth and mentorship for communications team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, skill development, and collaborative excellence.
Directs a portfolio of communications projects, managing scope, timeline, and risk.
Serves in an “on call” capacity and is expected to be available for urgent work-related communications.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Discretion
The DMC has a high-level range of discretion and independent decision-making.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The DMC has the following direct reports: Marketing and Communications Specialist.
Relationships
The DMC works closely with the Chief Development and Marketing Officer, leadership and members of the Development and Marketing Team, as well as agency leadership.
Qualifications
Minimum educational requirement of a bachelor's degree. At least 8 years of experience in Communications and Marketing, with at least 3 years in managing teams required. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment, with a willingness to learn and adapt in an ever-changing environment. Must possess excellent management skills, professional written and verbal skills, including report writing and presentation and organizational skills.

Responsibility Summary
The Family Support Specialist provides comprehensive case management and support services to caregivers of child victims of sexual abuse and their families, with the goal of helping families to engage and remain in mental health services. The Family support specialist receives referrals directly from family advocates, Family Hope Center therapists, or the Director of PATHH and Family Support Services. Appropriate referral needs include, but are not limited to: medical advocacy, mental health linkage for parent or other member of the household, basic needs (e.g., food, clothing, or shelter), education advocacy, psychiatric services, or application for benefits (e.g., social security, DHS, All Kids, WIC). The Family Support Specialist aims to enhance problem solving and coping capacity of the client while linking and improving the systems that may support the family.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support Director of PATHH and Family Support Services in maintenance of Centralized Wait List through providing ongoing follow up to families waiting for mental health services.
Provide support to Family Hope Center Drop-In Service program
Assesses client's needs, completes Wheel of Life with the client, and develops service plan to meet the needs of clients and families with input from referral source. Service plans include identified goals and steps needed to achieve goals.
Updates service plans and completes Wheel of Life with all active clients on a quarterly basis.
Facilitates a minimum of two to four therapy or psychoeducational groups (child, parent, combined child and parent, or family) per year (e.g., Hope and Healing, ChicagoCAC Parenting Group).
Actively participates in weekly reflective, clinical and administrative supervision with the Director of PATHH and Family Support Services.
Participates in Family Hope Center file reviews.
Actively participates in Family Hope Center department meetings and case consultations.
Provides supportive case management based upon the child and family's needs and those of the service plan, with goal to meet identified resource needs for family.
Provides appropriate linkage and referrals on behalf of family.
Facilitates communication and coordination of services with other internal and external providers with goal to meet service need goals.
Attends appointments with families when support for self-efficacy and self-esteem is needed (e.g., housing, psychiatry, school, employment).
Accompanies families to court proceedings to provide support, translation and education
Conducts Risk Assessments of children and families who are presenting with risk per ChicagoCAC policy. Provides ongoing assessments as necessary.
Collaborates with clinicians in gathering collateral information (DCFS, CPD, Advocate, FI, Psychiatry, school, etc.) to provide appropriate services and support for family.
Gathers data as it relates to type of service referrals, linkage success, client participation and satisfaction.
Plans, facilitates, and participates in Family Hope Center community events and actively fosters supportive community environment within Family Hope Center for clients and families.
Communicates issues, concerns and successes in a timely manner in order to make modifications to case management services.
Participates in all team and agency wide meetings.
Maintains a flexible work schedule as required by needs of cases.
Participates in local networking and training opportunities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Discretion
The Family Support Specialist has a low-level range of discretion and independent decision-making.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Family Support Specialist does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Relationships
The Family Support Specialist works closely with the Director of PATHH and Family Support Services, Family Hope center team, and advocacy team.
Qualifications
Minimal educational requirement of Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or Human Service Related field. Licensure preferred. Familiarity with Chicago's mental health community, and social service agencies. Two years' experience in the field of sexual abuse treatment, child welfare, and/or case management is required. Strong clinical, written, communication and organizational skills. Must be bilingual (English-Spanish). Must be capable of working independently in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

Qualifications

The Forensic Interviewer Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision and training of the forensic interviewers. The supervisor ensures that the children and families served at the Center receive the highest quality forensic interview in a timely and professional manner. This position also provides developmentally and culturally appropriate and legally defensible forensic interviews of children and adolescents alleging sexual and/or physical abuse or other crimes.

Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure the provision of and/or conduct forensic interviews of alleged child/adolescent victims of abuse and/or witnesses to violent crime.
Provide direct supervision to the forensic interviewing team which includes providing on-going feedback and weekly reflective supervision.
Lead straining for new forensic interviewers.
Work collaboratively with ChicagoCAC's multidisciplinary team members.
Acts as a team member with other supervisors to ensure productive flow of services to our clients from intake to advocacy to mental health.
Facilitate pre/post interview for multi-disciplinary case staffing.
Routinely provide and participate in forensic interview peer review.
Ensure timely entry of forensic interview data in ETO.
Actively participate in team meetings, supervisor's meeting, case staffing and case reviews.
Provides public outreach, technical assistance, and consultation regarding forensic interviewing, the mission and activities of ChicagoCAC, and other related topics.
Engages in productive supervision with the Director of Advocacy & Forensic Interviewing, informing them of all critical issues of concern, areas that need improvement, growth and progress, and the overall state of forensic interviewing.
Participate in local networking and training opportunities.
Attend and participate in supervision, peer review, and other professional development activities, such as webinars, education calls and literature review, that are relevant to forensic interviewing.
Participate in on-call rotation as a supervisor with other Advocacy &Investigations supervisors.
Perform other tasks and responsibilities as requested.
Discretion
The Forensic Interviewer Supervisor has a mid-level range of discretion and independent decision-making.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Forensic Interviewer Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of the Forensic Interviewers. The Supervisor provides situational supervision and leadership as needed to other direct service staff on the Advocacy & Investigations Team.
Relationships
The Forensic Interviewer Supervisor works closely with the Director of Advocacy & Forensic Interviewing, the Director of MDT Coordination, the Advocacy Supervisors, the Intake Supervisor, the Manager of Child Life and Volunteer Services, and MDT staff.
Qualifications
Minimum education requirements, master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field. Must have at least 5 years' experience in the field of working with sexually abused children and be trained as a forensic interviewer. Strong organizational, team building, problem solving, and written and oral communications skill required. Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team setting is required. Leadership skills and supervisory experience are strongly preferred. Ideal candidate will have a history of working within a multidisciplinary team and have experience within the criminal justice and/or child welfare system.

Responsibility Summary
The Family Support Specialist provides comprehensive case management and support services to caregivers of child victims of sexual abuse and their families, with the goal of helping families to engage and remain in mental health services. The Family support specialist receives referrals directly from family advocates, Family Hope Center therapists, or the Director of PATHH and Family Support Services. Appropriate referral needs include, but are not limited to: medical advocacy, mental health linkage for parent or other member of the household, basic needs (e.g., food, clothing, or shelter), education advocacy, psychiatric services, or application for benefits (e.g., social security, DHS, All Kids, WIC). The Family Support Specialist aims to enhance problem solving and coping capacity of the client while linking and improving the systems that may support the family.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support Director of PATHH and Family Support Services in maintenance of Centralized Wait List through providing ongoing follow up to families waiting for mental health services.
Provide support to Family Hope Center Drop-In Service program
Assesses client's needs, completes Wheel of Life with the client, and develops service plan to meet the needs of clients and families with input from referral source. Service plans include identified goals and steps needed to achieve goals.
Updates service plans and completes Wheel of Life with all active clients on a quarterly basis.
Facilitates a minimum of two to four therapy or psychoeducational groups (child, parent, combined child and parent, or family) per year (e.g., Hope and Healing, ChicagoCAC Parenting Group).
Actively participates in weekly reflective, clinical and administrative supervision with the Director of PATHH and Family Support Services.
Participates in Family Hope Center file reviews.
Actively participates in Family Hope Center department meetings and case consultations.
Provides supportive case management based upon the child and family's needs and those of the service plan, with goal to meet identified resource needs for family.
Provides appropriate linkage and referrals on behalf of family.
Facilitates communication and coordination of services with other internal and external providers with goal to meet service need goals.
Attends appointments with families when support for self-efficacy and self-esteem is needed (e.g., housing, psychiatry, school, employment).
Accompanies families to court proceedings to provide support, translation and education
Conducts Risk Assessments of children and families who are presenting with risk per ChicagoCAC policy. Provides ongoing assessments as necessary.
Collaborates with clinicians in gathering collateral information (DCFS, CPD, Advocate, FI, Psychiatry, school, etc.) to provide appropriate services and support for family.
Gathers data as it relates to type of service referrals, linkage success, client participation and satisfaction.
Plans, facilitates, and participates in Family Hope Center community events and actively fosters supportive community environment within Family Hope Center for clients and families.
Communicates issues, concerns and successes in a timely manner in order to make modifications to case management services.
Participates in all team and agency wide meetings.
Maintains a flexible work schedule as required by needs of cases.
Participates in local networking and training opportunities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
