The Assistant Manager delivers exceptional results through others. They assist the General Manager in providing an engaging environment for restaurant teams and guests while focusing on delivering operational excellence. Chicken Salad Chick Assistant Managers embrace and help lead the Chicken Salad Chick Culture, manage administration and maintain the facility.
Essential Responsibilities
Serve as a Brand Ambassador for Chicken Salad Chick.
Understand & adhere to all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs.
Ensure that all Guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service.
Ensure that all products are consistently prepared and served according to CSC standards.
Achieve identified objectives for sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and by creating a positive, productive working environment.
Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
Operationally fill in as needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
Continually strive to develop staff in all areas of managerial and professional development.
Prepare all required paperwork, forms and reports in an organized and timely manner.
Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the restaurant's receiving policies and procedures.
Sets clear expectations on shift and creates a working environment and serves as a role model to create memorable guest experiences.
Takes actions to solve and celebrates guest feedback.
Monitors food and equipment inventories, conducts inventory counts and maintains inventory records.
Monitors compliance with health, safety, cleanliness, security and fire policies, standards and regulations.
Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for violations of company policies, rules and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities

Oversee and ensure that employee performance appraisals are completed on a timely basis.

Coach and motivate the Assistant Manager(s) and the team.

* Ensure Chicken Salad Chick procedures are followed in the dining room, service area and kitchen.
* Train and counsel hourly team members who work during Team Leader's shift.
* Guarantee highest level of hospitality and service to all guests at all times.
* Coach hourly team members during their shift as needed.
* Ensure compliance with all personnel records, team member schedules and reports.
* Prepare and maintain administrative and financial records as directed by the General Manager.
* Ensure specials, promotions, and marketing plans are presented according to company procedures during shift.
* Ensure that hours of operation for the restaurant are maintained during their shift.
* Ensure compliance with established safety and sanitation procedures and all Federal, State, and local regulations during shift.
* Make decisions regarding team member position assignments, disciplinary actions (as needed when acting as Manager on Duty), execution of shift operations and keeping restaurant clean.
* Defer decisions to GM/AM regarding hiring or terminating team members, pay increases for team members, vendor specifications, scheduling and purchases beyond those required to execute normal shift operations.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of all aspects of the restaurant. Assistant General Manager: Essential Duties and Responsiblities

Understanding, managing, and practicing safe food handling procedures and enforcing those procedures for all other staff members.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, all state and federal wage and hour regulations, and restaurant filing responsibilities.
Ensure all equipment is in good repair and/or taking steps to ensure repairs are made and/or equipment is taken out of duty to avoid injury or accident to others if deemed appropriate in the discretion of the AGM.
Manage all processes including line checks, pull thaw, prep lists, food inventory, beverage cost, truck orders, food safety, etc.
Coach team to ensure food and beverages are prepared to Ruby Tuesday recipe specifications about portion, preparation, and plate presentation.
Maintain a valid food safety certificate and any local compliance certifications. The AGM will need to take the initiative to apply for and secure new certificates when necessary
Responsible for execution of new initiatives including new product and menu rollouts; this aspect of the job requires creativity and initiatives of the individual AGM.

Understanding, managing, and practicing safe food handling procedures and enforcing those procedures for all other staff members.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, all state and federal wage and hour regulations, and restaurant filing responsibilities.
Ensure all equipment is in good repair and/or taking steps to ensure repairs are made and/or equipment is taken out of duty to avoid injury or accident to others if deemed appropriate in the discretion of the AGM.
Manage all processes including line checks, pull thaw, prep lists, food inventory, beverage cost, truck orders, food safety, etc.
Coach team to ensure food and beverages are prepared to Ruby Tuesday recipe specifications about portion, preparation, and plate presentation.
Maintain a valid food safety certificate and any local compliance certifications. The AGM will need to take the initiative to apply for and secure new certificates when necessary
Responsible for execution of new initiatives including new product and menu rollouts; this aspect of the job requires creativity and initiatives of the individual AGM.

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 21 years old.
High School Diploma or High School equivalency required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Prefer 2 years of hands-on restaurant management experience.
ServSafe Certified preferred or able to obtain certification prior to completion of training.
Valid Driver's License
Commitment to excellence in friendly service.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires regular attendance; the ability to work up to 55 hours per week is required; requires the ability to stand or walk for hours at a time; frequently required to hear, speak, walk, crawl, climb, stand, reach, bend, balance, kneel, stoop, lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.; requires ability to tolerate significant changes in temperature, and frequent immersion of hands in water and cleaning or sanitizing solutions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
