The key responsibilities of the Chief Estimator:

+ Managing all documentation to ensure the project is compliant, remains on schedule, and remains within budget while monitoring all costs.

+ Obtaining, assembling, distributing, and filling all as-built drawings, warranties, certificates of occupancy, and lien releases.

+ Scheduling projects in logical steps and budgeting time required to meet deadlines.

The Role

Clark is currently seeking a highly talented Chief Estimator for immediate employment. This position serves as an integral member of the Project Development team working to deliver complex design-build projects nationwide. The Chief Estimator leads the estimating team through the project development phase of the project. Key responsibilities include:

+ Lead a team during the estimating process including executive review and estimating meetings

+ Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare cost estimates for project

+ Monitor and develop solutions for maintaining contract and program compliance

+ Engage internal departments, such as Marketing, Legal and Risk, to assist in preparation of RFQ and RFP responses

+ Actively participate in RFQ and RFP responses including client interviews and providing strategic insights to pursuit strategy

+ Actively participate in the design review process including leading stakeholder decision meetings

+ Actively participate in Subcontractor and/or Vendor relationship management

+ Actively participate in Subcontractor and/or Vendor qualification and scope reviews

+ Participate with and support Subcontractor and/or Vendor purchasing

+ Develop and maintain relationship with internal and external stakeholders

+ Attend industry events in a professional capacity

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field

+ 4-8 years of relevant work experience, preferably with design-build experience

+ Minimum 5 years of experience developing cost models or estimates within a preconstruction environment

+ Demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve a desired objective

+ Must have strong interest in construction general contracting and in the design-build delivery process
