Primary Purpose of Position This position is responsible for safe, effective and efficient implementation of the Work Management processes at the Clean Energy Center (CEC). This includes the scheduling, detailed planning/coordination and execution of daily online maintenance, also included is CEC preparation and execution of forced, planned and refueling outages. Safe CEC operation through risk management must be achieved while meeting site and department budget goals. Responsible for actively participating in the development of staff and implementation of process improvements. Support of CEC and fleet Work Management initiatives and improvements. This position also provides oversight to the Site Supply organization. Primary Duties and Accountabilities Direct all work execution processes. Identify process problems and effect corrective actions to address those problems in a timely manner. Participate as key manager in Business Planning, Budget, and Business Performance review regarding Site Work Management. Fulfill managerial responsibilities regarding assigned staff (e.g. Employment, Development, Compensation, Performance Evaluation, etc.). Ensures consistent and effective work force practices through assigned supervisors/functions. Direct refueling outage preparation, planning and scheduling while ensuring the status of these activities is accurately communicated to stakeholders. Direct the preparation, planning and scheduling of non-refueling outages (forced, planned and maintenance) of the current cycle. Oversee Online and Outage Risk Management programs to assure safe CEC operations. Participate in various CEC Senior Management review committees Event Screening Committee, Plant Operations Review Committee, Budget Review Committee and Personnel Committee. Participate fully in the Work Management peer group to identify best industry practices and programs. Perform routine monitoring and appraisal of the effectiveness of the CEC Work Management Processes. Provide feedback to CEC Senior Management regarding performance and recommendations for improvement. Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
