The Opportunity

Demonstrated success building FP&A, KPI systems, and scalable processes in multi‑office organizations.

About the role

The Vice President, Finance & Controller is a newly created executive leadership position that will report directly to Caroline Pereira, President of Hoag Hospital Foundation, and serve as a key member of the Foundation's leadership cabinet.

GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for the overall success of the Business Banking Group, including the development and management of sales, operations, team member development and retention, and compliance with all laws and policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Opportunity
The Director of Finance will oversee the financial operations of Hugel America, ensuring financial health and regulatory compliance, while supporting strategic growth objectives. This person should have deep experience in financial planning and analytics and accounts receivables. The role requires close collaboration with the global CEO based in Newport Beach, CA and the finance team at Hugel Inc, which is based in Korea.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Strategy, Planning, and Reporting
Lead forecasting, budgeting and planning process for short and long term
Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and reports
Monitor performance, identify trends, and provide insights to executive leadership
Create KPI dashboards for regular updates
Maximizing investments
Develop ROI methodology to guide investment strategies and optimize resource allocation
Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost reductions, while maximizing revenue and profit
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and industry standards, including healthcare specific requirements
Partner with legal and compliance to manage audits and financial reviews
Collaboration with Stakeholders
Work closely with CEO and CFO; prepare materials for ELT and Board of Directors
Partnership with Sales, Marketing, Distributors to support business initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA, CFA or MBA preferred
Minimum 10 years experience in finance or accounting
Experience with financial software and ERP systems
Excellent collaboration and communication skills (fluent Korean is a plus)
Ability to travel to Korea quarterly if needed
