What you'll be challenged to do
As a Rope Access - Bridge Inspector, you will step into work that strengthens transportation networks and supports safe travel for communities across the country. Rope access inspection gives you a front row view of complex structures and offers a path to grow your technical skills while working on projects that shape daily movement for millions of people. This role opens doors to advanced inspection methods, exposure to complex bridges and structures, and steady support from mentors who guide your development within GFT. We are seeking bridge inspection engineers who currently hold a SPRAT Level I certification with the ability and desire to progress in this role. This hybrid role offers flexibility in where you live and work while keeping you connected to our National Bridge Inspection Team. Frequent travel is required.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
* Assist with field inspection work using rope access methods (SPRAT)
* Support rope access setup, equipment checks, and basic rescue planning
* Record inspection notes and photographs with clear detail
* Help prepare inspection reports
* Work closely with team leaders and project managers to complete inspection tasks
* Coordinate day-to-day field activities
* Maintain and organize inspection gear
* Travel throughout the United States for inspection assignments
What you will bring to our firm:
* Associate's degree in engineering related field or High School degree with technical training
* SPRAT Level I certification
* Experience operating bucket trucks, manlifts, or under-bridge inspection vehicles

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $74,000 -$145,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.

General Summary

What are we looking for?
This Electrical Product Inspector position is responsible for performing inspections at manufacturing facilities to ensure that products are being manufactured in accordance with established standards and specifications created by Intertek. Location: This is a remote position; however, applicants must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States.
Salary & Benefits Information:
The base wage or salary range for this position is $36/Hr to $42/Hr. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons. As this is a part-time casual position, it is not eligible for additional benefits.
What you'll do:
Plan and conduct surveillance inspections in accordance with scheduling requirements.
Document manufacturer's production and quality processes; review required production tests, including methods, equipment used and calibration of equipment.
Inspect ETL Listed products, subassemblies and components with respect to the Certification Documents; review ETL label inventory and control; review non-compliances issued as a result of previous inspections and document unresolved issues; select samples as directed.
Document compliance and non-compliance found during the inspection and advise clients on proper resolution.
Complete and submit Follow-up Service Inspection Report for each client inspected.
Communicate information between facility representatives and Intertek personnel.
Maintain expenses within given guidelines.
Perform other work as required.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED and 10+ years directly related experience; associate degree in related area and 5+ years directly related experience; or bachelor's degree in related area and 1+ year directly related experience.
Experience in electronic/electrical testing or quality/reliability testing, engineering, electrical inspection, manufacturing or quality control is required.
Familiarity with the “National Electric Code” and/or product compliance requirements to nationally recognized safety standards is a plus.
Knowledge of Quality Control methods (ISO 9000/14000, QS 9000, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen & Statistical Process Control) a plus.
Must have access to the internet.

Understand basic NAAA frame/structure guidelines as well as common vehicle condition flaws and how to identify them.
