▪In compliance with the CMS IFR, all NSO employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or qualify for a medical or religious exemption that NSO can reasonably accommodate.

▪ Will have some physical contact with patients.

The Market Chief Medical Officer reports directly to the Enterprise Physician Vice President of Population Health Medical Services and has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Market President. The position is responsible for market-based clinical leadership and execution of all health care affordability and clinical quality operations and initiatives to achieve strategic goals. The Market CMO is accountable for ACFC quality initiatives to improve HEDIS and other quality ratings and collaborates with the local provider community and state regulatory agencies to improve care. The Market Chief Medical Officer is a seasoned professional who faces outward to and interacts with the Plan's membership and physician community, physician and health system networks, medical/physician professional associations, government representatives, and advocacy groups to advance clinical excellence and the delivery of cost efficient care.

Pennsylvania's Community HealthChoices serves adults over the age of 21 who qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid and/or qualify for long-term services and supports (LTSS) in either the community or in a nursing facility. All Participants receiving LTSS are assigned a Service Coordinator, which is an administrative function of the Plan. Participants receiving LTSS are assessed at least annually and a person-centered service plan is developed to meet unmet needs, some of which are related to social determinant of health. Collaboration with D-SNPs serving the Participants aids in identifying and remediating risk factors that lead to hospitalization and institutionalization. The Community HealthChoices program is an opportunity to holistically serve the Participants and maximize independence in the community.

Education/ Experience :

  • MD or DO.
  • Must have five to ten years practice experience.
  • Minimum five years practice experience in his/her area of specialty (Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Medical or Surgical specialties, and Geriatrics experience preferred)
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive medical management and general management experience in a managed care environment is preferred.
  • Board Certified Physician
  • An unrestricted license to practice medicine in Pennsylvania
  • Successful candidates will have LTSS or MCO plan experience
  • Proven ability to be strategic
