Shall be responsible for supporting International Systems solution and strategic adherence to all aspects of the Information Assurance (IA) program as stipulated by various USG requirements. Preparation of Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documents and procedures. Interface with other IA team members, other security disciplines (industrial security, physical security, special programs security, etc.), program personnel, and government security representatives.

Qualifications:

* Shall have minimum five years of progressively responsible information assurance experience in ICD 503 assessment and authorization.
* A demonstrated working knowledge of public key infrastructure and encryption systems.
* Attained a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Experience and/or knowledge of DCID 6/3, Joint Force After Next (JFAN) 6/3 or DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) and understanding of classified IT networks, systems, terminology and SDLC. Experience with NIST Special Publication 800-37 Revision 1, Guide for Applying the Risk Management Framework to Federal Information Systems", (CNSSI) 1253, and NIST SP 800-53 Revisions 3 and 4, SP 800-39, SP 800-30.

* The Chief of Security has full authority and responsibility for assuring performance objectives and standards identified in the contract are met for the White Sands Test Facility (WSTF) and White Sands Complex (WSC). Responsible for overall management and direction of Protective Services (Security and Emergency Management). Provides overall guidance to functional and operational areas of responsibility, ensuring that activities are in compliance with established company policies and procedures, plans and budget directives. Responsible for the implementation of sound financial programs, ensuring that operations are conducted in a cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities

* Provides overall guidance for industrial and personnel security, security services, emergency management and control center activities.
* Provides departments with day-to-day guidance, ensuring sound financial programs and management of personnel
* Plans objectives, forecasts future directions and determines course of action for protective services departments.
* Develops and manages the organization and administrative structure to most effectively utilize resources and capabilities to support and deliver security services required under the contract. Maintains knowledge of current procedures and techniques within the security fields.
* Ensures that all programmatic activities are in compliance with company policies and procedures, plans and budget directives.
* Ensures personnel requisitions are in accordance with budget directives and overall limitations and operations are conducted in a cost-effective manner.
* Develops long range plans for department and reviews/approves all organizational changes to improve the efficiency of operations.
* Serves as the primary interface with the customer regarding functional areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in related field such as law enforcement, police science, police administration or criminology. Equivalent education/experience is acceptable.
* Ten (10) years' experience in security or law enforcement administration experience in the armed forces, security, police, or civilian equivalent or related field. Six (6) years must have been at the supervisory level.
* Must fully comprehends the principles of installation security and resource protection
* Must be knowledgeable in the application of intrusion detection devices and electronic security systems.
* Must be familiar with NASA security regulations and directives pertaining to security and resource protection.
* U.S. Citizenship
* Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
* Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Level Government Clearance.
* Completed or be able to complete JSCPSC Orientation Course
* Completed or be able to complete NPSTA Federal Arrest Authority Course
* Completed or be able to complete Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response course
* Speak, read, write, and understand the English language, apply written rules, detailed orders, instructions and training material
* Be able to meet any Federal, State, or Municipal requirements to work as an Armed Security Officer
* Have no record or history of illegal drug use, sale, possession, or manufacture
* Have no felony convictions and no convictions that reflect on the individual's reliability including those crimes classified under the Lautenberg Act
* Be able to maintain and qualify periodically on a course of fire with handgun, or other special weapons
* Be able to meet and maintain NASA Physical Certifications
