Position Overview
The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) provides executive direction, and leadership in the development of strategies to provide direct patient care and continuously improve care quality. As a member of the senior leadership team, the CNO is a key participant in strategic planning, program development and evaluation, regulatory compliance activities, and establishment of policies/procedures to guide workplace practices. The CNO is directly accountable for the 24/7/365 delivery of Nursing Services across both campuses of Oregon State Hospital.

Leadership
Maintain responsibility, accountability and authority for ensuring adherence to professional standards of practice and care in areas of responsibility, establishing policies and procedures to guide practice, measuring and evaluating outcomes and working in collaboration with other disciplines to plan, implement and ensure the delivery of cost effective, therapeutic services.
Ensure necessary regulatory agency compliance, quality accreditations and adherence to applicable state and federal laws, administrative guidelines and professional standards of practice including, but not limited to, OSBN Nurse Practice Act, American Nursing Association, ANCC certifications, Accrediting/Licensing agencies (CMS, the Joint Commission) ANA Psychiatric Nursing Standards.
Provide both nursing executive leadership and organizational administration oversight of nursing department operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and services to patients in a safe and secure environment.
In coordination with OSH Training and Education, provide direction for hospital-based and/or contracted staff, education, development and training programs, including those which qualify students for licensure or certification as a qualified healthcare provider.
Participate as an active member of the hospital's governing body, quality, nurse and clinical executive councils, as well as patient safety, care of patients and ethics committees.
Fiscal Management
Develop, review and present budgetary reports relative to areas of responsibility.
Monitors expenditures from the current biennium approved budget and consults with the hospital CFO regarding expenditure needs outside the budget.
Oversee nursing resource allocation and capacity management through staffing plans and coordination with the OSH Nurse staffing committee.
Create protocols for the delivery of safe and efficient use of staff to provide direct care.
Personnel Administration
Actively participate in recruiting, interviewing, selecting and orienting personnel for key nursing and clinical support department management positions.
Provide ongoing, consistent performance feedback with direct reports, completing goal setting, performance and position description reviews.

The Research Business Operations unit is comprised of more than twenty-five financial, technology, and administrative staff that ensure the smooth operations of this organization. The Research Business Operations portfolio spans activities from a major technology upgrade for research administration, managing faculty startup distributions, research core administrative operations, human resource development, research data analysis, financial budgeting, and, reporting and forecasting tools.
UO continues to experience a rapid phase of growth in its research portfolio as a result of increasing the number of its recent hires of tenure line faculty, with a significant increase in the sciences and other grant-active disciplines. Position Summary
The Assistant/Associate Vice President of Research Business Operations (AVPRBO) reports to the Vice President for Research and Innovation and is a key member of the OVPRI's executive management team. The AVPRBO oversees several research administrative units and serves as the strategic leader for research business operations within the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI), working cooperatively with leadership and administrative staff of OVPRI administrative units, centers, institutes, and research cores. OVPRI seeks a leader who can continue the development as a best in class, high performing, customer-centric team that aligns with the goals and objectives of the office and the institution and leads the fiscal management of the unit.
The AVPRBO supports operational excellence and continuous process improvement in the face of ever-changing researcher needs and regulatory obligations. Responsibilities of this position include comprehensive research operations oversight and stewardship of OVPRI teams in four core areas: (1) financial operations, (2) data analysis and technology management, (3) human resources management, and (4) space management. Position Overview

**The Role: VP of Strategic Accounts**
As the VP of Strategic Accounts focused on Panalgo, you will play a pivotal role in selling and expanding our RWE generation capabilities into new and existing clients in the life sciences sector. This role requires a proven track record of sales and business development expertise, a deep understanding of RWD, RWE generation, applications and platforms and other RWD/E tools and services, along with the ability to drive adoption of Panalgo's RWE platform, IHD, among our clients. **Responsibilities:**
- Drive Sales and renewal of Panalgo's RWE Platform (IHD) and services: Focus on selling Panalgo's comprehensive RWE capabilities, including the flagship IHD RWE platform, to accounts in the life sciences industry.
- Business Development: Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within target accounts, working with key stakeholders to introduce Panalgo's solutions to address their challenges in real-world data utilization and evidence generation.

**What Is the Opportunity?**
Investigate, evaluate, reserve, negotiate and resolve the company's most severe and/or complex claims, in multiple jurisdictions, in accordance with Best Practices. Provide quality claim handling and superior customer service on assigned claims, while engaging in indemnity & expense management. Promptly manage claims by completing essential functions including contacts, investigation, damages development, evaluation, reserving, litigation management, negotiating and resolution. Provides consulting and training and serves as an expert technical resource to other claim professionals, business partners, customers, and other stakeholders as appropriate or required. This may include a specific assignment as a severity management resource to one or more field offices.
**What Will You Do?**
+ CLAIM HANDLING:
+ Directly handle the Company's most severe and complex claims when Travelers has coverage of $2 million or greater and file exposure is greater than $2 million.
+ Provide quality customer service and ensure file quality timely coverage analysis and communication with insured based on application of policy information to facts or allegations of each case.
+ Directly investigate each claim through prompt and strategically-appropriate contact with appropriate parties such as policyholders, accounts, claimants, law enforcement agencies, witnesses, agents, medical providers and technical experts to determine the extent of liability, damages, and contribution potential.
+ Interview witnesses and stakeholders; take necessary statements, as strategically appropriate.
+ Complete outside investigation as needed per case specifics.
+ Actively engage in the identification, selection and direction of appropriate internal and./or external resources for specific activities required to effectively evaluate claims, such as Subro, Risk Control, nurse consultants and fire or fraud investigators and other experts.

+ Field Severity Support: Some Complex Claim Specialists may be responsible for all or some of the following:
+ Collaborate with field severity units in the management and evaluation of some of the Company's severe and complex liability claims by providing claim handling guidance, recommendations and strategies to Field Product Line Managers, Unit Managers, and Major Case Specialists, for timely, cost effective resolution of liability major cases.
+ Provide mentoring or training as request by field severity management.
+ COMMUNICATION/INFLUENCE:
+ Consult with Manager on use of Claim Coverage Counsel as needed.
+ Provide guidance to underwriting business partners with res accuracy and adequacy of, and potential future changes to, loss reserves on assigned claims.
+ Recommend appropriate cases for discussion at roundtable.
