Some of the front line workers are phenomenal.
There is a culture of toxicity. Internal processes are outdated and disorganized, employees are not treated well by people who hold power. It feels more like a cult than a nonprofit.
None at this time
The CEO and the leadership team are everything that is wrong with the organization. HR exists to protect them and does not support staff.
Unfortunately the CEO has really alienated the majority of staff and it is time for new leadership. Additionally Human Resources needs to be updated and there needs to be new leadership there.
The organization pays below other organizations doing similar work and they gaslight employees if they advocate for themselves regarding pay or accommodations.
The organization is white led, with very “progressive values” the majority of managers are white. They have a very limited understanding of representation and the definition of demographics. They EDI strategies stop at tokenization.
Leaving.

Upper management is AWFUL! Talk to staff like children, do not want independent thinkers.

I can’t think of a pro at this time
Upper management is horrible, it is very culty with lots of mean girls, HR is unhelpful, the pay is low and there is no room for growth
I can’t think of any perks at this time.
You can take time off when you need too
No performance raises or competitive salaries. Many struggle living pay check to pay check, making too much for any assistance but not enough to keep up with this post pandemic inflation.
