Paraprofessional / Behavior Interventionist Paraprofessional / Behavior Interventionist Schedule: M-F regular school hours Paraprofessional / Behavior Interventionist Salary: $16-$22/hr. Paraprofessional / Behavior Interventionist Job Description: Support students in achieving academic success, including those who may display disruptive behavior, with a focus on behavior management and physical intervention if necessary (training provided upon hire). Helps students when needed with their clothing, snack time routines, and, when required, toileting activities, not limited to but including, prompting, self-toileting and diapering, all ages. Monitor student behavior during classroom sessions, providing redirection and support for students needing remediation or intervention. Aid in student assessment by collecting data and sharing observations with teachers. Facilitate safe transitions of students between locations within the school under the guidance of administrators and staff. Maintain proactive communication with teachers regarding student issues and parental conversations. Supervise student movement within the school environment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. All residents have open Child and Family Service cases in the County of Orange. These mothers are working to reunify with their children while at the same time addressing their histories with addiction and mental health. Paraprofessional (School-Based) Compensation: $23-$27/hr (based on experience and skill set) Schedule: Full-time; hours vary depending on student age group We are hiring school-based Paraprofessionals in the Beverly Hills area to support students with academic, behavioral, and personal care needs. Job Description REQUIRED AVAILABILITY Monday/Wednesday: 4:00-8:00pm Saturdays: 1:00-5:00pm The Child Watch Attendant is responsible for providing a safe and caring environment for children while engaging the participants in quality, age-appropriate activities. The Child Watch Attendant is also responsible for achieving the mission, goals, and objectives of the Santa Monica Family YMCA. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Ability to work effectively with others in alignment with the YMCA 4 Core Values Models the 4 Core Values in all aspects of position responsibilities Plan and coordinate the provision of age-appropriate activities and events for participants Supervise participants, ensuring their guidance and safety Interact with participants in a positive manner while being consistent, fair and treating everyone in the program with dignity and respect Follow emergency procedures appropriately to ensure the safety of participants and staff Communicate in a positive and effective manner with all participants, parents, members and co-workers Follow YMCA policies and procedures. Assist with and/or lead Parent's Night Out Assist with birthday parties and Family Programs/Events Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience working and caring for children. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Must have a warm and friendly personality and the sensitivity to meet the needs of a diverse population Possess a genuine interest in people and the ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationships with staff, volunteers, members, and the general public. Excellent customer service experience and organization skills Strong self-starter and initiator with a passion for service and relationship building. CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within 30 days of hire and must be from one of the following certifying organizations: American Red Cross American Heart Association American Safety & Health Institute
