Child care teacher job in Dayton, TX
The campus Title I Instructional Aide assists school staff with accelerated student instruction in such a way to facilitate the achievement of the school's goals. Qualifications: Education/Certification and Experience: * High School Diploma or GED
* Valid Texas Instructional Aide Certificate or ability to obtain upon hire
* Must meet 1 of the 2 following criteria: Associate's degree, OR 60 credit hours from an accredited institution of higher learning
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
* Ability to work well with children, parents, and school staff
* Ability to use/learn basic computer applications
* Knowledge of general office equipment
* Effective communication skills (written and verbal) in English
* Ability to speak Spanish (preferred)
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Work with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional activities as assigned.
* Maintain confidentiality of information.
* Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly work environment.
* Assist in supervising students throughout the school day as needed.
* Assist in the maintenance of administrative records and preparation of reports as required.
* Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment as assigned.
* Assist in preparing materials/displays for instruction or campus operations.
* Participate in staff development programs, faculty meetings, and special events, as required.
* Other duties as assigned.
Equipment Used:
* Regular use of complex machines and equipment (desktop/laptop computer and software, presentation equipment, copy machines, etc.)
* Intermediate skill in Data Entry, Database, Presentation, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing
* Google suite of applications
* Video conferencing technology
Physical / Environmental Factors:
Must maintain emotional control and exercise reasoning and problem-solving skills while under stress. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written).
Occasional prolonged and irregular hours. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
