    Temporary Description A Residential Advisor and Teacher Assistant must be a recent high school graduate, or a recent graduate of The Lawrenceville School. Residential Advisors' responsibilities are to assist with the residential life of students in one of the Academic Scholars programs. The residential advisors and teacher assistants work together with the Head of House and their respective program director to provide support, guidance, and supervision to the students participating in the program. The Residential Advisor and Teacher Assistant position requires responsible leadership skills and maturity in working with students only a little younger than themselves. Assist the program director and Head of House with both the move-in and move-out days, including attendance at the opening House meeting Oversee study hall from 8:00pm to 10:00pm each night of the program. Help enforce an 11pm lights out every other night. Assist the Head of House in enforcing all House rules and communicate with the Head of House and program director if violations occur. Be present for all meals and travel with students to any off-campus activities as required by the program director. Serve as a resource for students participating in the program. Participate in all class meetings and activities Assist teachers with class preparation Assist students as needed with independent research Requirements Education and/or Experience: Completed High School Diploma (by program date) Previous experience supervising children and young adults, preferably in a school or camp environment.
