Teacher for the Visually Impaired Key Responsibilities:
Student Evaluation & Assessment: Use criterion and norm-referenced tests to assess pupils' visual functioning, communication, motor, social, self-help, academic, vocational, and cognitive skills. Determine eligibility and appropriate placement.
IEP Development: Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) with measurable goals and objectives based on assessments, child development principles, and learning continuums.
Instruction & Integration: Teach specialized skills, including braille, orientation and mobility, and use of visual aids. Facilitate student integration into regular education programs and assist in explaining disabilities.

Specialized Skills: Proficiency in braille reading and writing, and use of technological devices and optical aids. Certification or background in orientation and mobility. Knowledge of Braille, large print, and talking software technology.

Assist operating room (OR) staff with patient lifting, positioning, and transfers to and from the OR.
Prepare and clean OR suites, ensuring proper equipment, furniture, and supplies are available.
Maintain and organize anesthesia equipment, supplies, and drugs in OR rooms, OB, and travel carts.
Clean anesthesia equipment, scrub sinks, and mop areas between cases and at the end of the day.
Manage stock levels by restocking turnover carts, sterile water, saline, and other solutions.

Retrieve blood from the blood bank, and pharmacy orders, and transport specimens to the lab.
