Classroom teacher is responsible for implementing and delivering appropriate early childhood curriculum for the VPI program. The VCU Health System's Department of Neurology is seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Advanced Practice Provider (APP)) for the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NSICU). The APP will function as an essential member of a multidisciplinary team providing ongoing neurocritical care, consultative services, and/or direct patient care to critically ill adult inpatients, including patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical disease, respiratory failure and/or critical illness. Responsibilities
Ability to make autonomous clinical judgments and independently implement management plans with minimal physician supervision. Responsibilities will include management of mechanical ventilation, tracheostomies, infections, and multiorgan critical care, ordering and interpretation of diagnostic tests and procedures, and managing other critically ill patients in an ICU setting (including, but not limited to: intracranial hemorrhage, ischemic stroke, status epilepticus, perioperative neurosurgical care, septic shock, hemorrhagic shock, liver failure, renal failure, acute respiratory failure, and multiple organ failure).
