    Job DescriptionSalary: $15-$16 per hour DOQ Job Title:ASSISTANT TEACHER Department: Youth Education Reports to: Day Care Director FLSA: Part-time, Non-exempt Pay: $15-$16 per hour DOQ The Hampshire Township Park District has a DCFS licensed Daycare facility at the Little People Playtime building that houses the established Preschool and Day Care program located at 441 E. Jefferson in Hampshire, IL. The Assistant Teacher position is part-time with duties both indoors and outdoors. The Assistant Teacher is an Aide to the Lead Teacher who is responsible for a group of children that may include infants, toddlers, preschool or Kindergarten age children. Where applicable the Aide will work with a Lead Teacher and together as a team plan age-appropriate activities: music/ movement activities; art/ craft projects; language; math; and science experiences. The Assistant must be available to attend Staff meetings, trainings, evaluations, and orientations, fulfill the annual 15 clock hours of continuing education, and participate in Parent conferences and/or prepare written parent reports. The ideal candidate for this position will have availability Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
