We are looking for Mental Health Providers to join our PATH (Pediatric Access to Therapy and Healing) Team. PATH Providers will be trained and provide short-term outpatient therapy for patients who present with acuity needs, training to be provided upon hire. PATH Providers will work in the emergency department along side our mental health assessment team to provide seamless care coordination. This position will be located at Broadway Campus in KCMO. Responsibilities Child and Family Therapy Service Provision and Documentation: The Child and Family Mental Health Provider will provide evidence based mental health treatments to patients and families within the clinical area they are assigned. How work is completed: Complete initial psychosocial assessment and treatment plan, utilizing knowledge of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5-TR) crisis intervention, family systems, and clinical theories. Identify and utilize the best evidence-based treatment model and develop methods to provide the same level of care to all patients. When clinically indicated, administer psychometric scales to assess symptomatology, guide treatment planning, assess patient progress and complete evidence based safety planning. Maintain up-to-date documentation of all sessions in the patient's EMR, including initial psychosocial assessments and follow-up progress notes as defined by standard work. Maintain up-to-date documentation of all patient-related care in the patient's EMR within time as defined by standard work. Provides additional support to patients at the hospital when assigned, including cross coverage and on call coverage as assigned by leadership. Professional Development: This Child and Family Mental Health Provider will demonstrate active involvement and leadership within the team, department, and hospital by regular attendance at meetings and educational opportunities, serving as a consultant for other members of the department and hospital, participation on committees, and responding to hospital and/or community requests for educational programs. How work is completed: Attend and contribute to team and department meetings. Provide professional support and consultation as requested by other members of the department and/or hospital. Serve on department and hospital committees as agreed upon by supervisor and staff. Participate in professional development, research, and quality improvement opportunities as agreed upon by supervisor and staff. Prepare and provide educational programs as requested and agreed upon by supervisor and staff. Qualifications Master's Degree, from an accredited program, plus 1-2 years of experience. Must have the following licensure: Must have a social work license (LMSW/LCSW/LSCSW) or professional counseling license (LPC/LCPC) in the state of primary work location upon hire and then be dually licensed in both states within 90 days of employment. Candidates licensed with a master level social work license, must be engaged in clinical supervision.
