o Encourage parents to participate in curriculum planning and program development.
Data, Monitoring, Recording and Tracking
o Observe, compare, and monitor behaviors, records and data to determine compliance with prescribed standards.
o At the direction of the teacher provide accurate written records, including assessments, IFSP documentation, screening instruments, anecdotal observations, and other required forms.
o Assist teacher where needed with various record keeping systems used for data tracking, outcomes and assessments.
o At direction of teacher, write memos to staff and parents.
o Support Family Service Coordinator in documentation regarding particular concerns with families and children at scheduled staffing's.
o Assist teacher in meeting all deadlines for the school and state.
General Staff Responsibilities
o Fulfill role as mandated reporter as stated in Child Abuse and Neglect Mandatory Reporting Policy.
o Maintain confidentiality in regards to staff and family information.

Assistant Position Summary:
The Assistant Teacher is responsible for participating as part of a cohesive teaching team, assisting the Lead Teacher in coordinating the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Assistant Teachers must understand childrens cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Assistant Teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, effectively participate on the teaching team, and support the Lead Teacher to resolve parent/guardian concerns. The Assistant Teacher will assume the duties and responsibilities if the Lead Teacher is off on leave.
Staff may be required to administer medication or be trained to do so by an RN nurse through the PFA program.
This position will work in collaboration with the Lead Teacher, and Multi-Site Coordinators to ensure standards set by the Department of Early Learning and Care (DELC), the Environmental Health Authority, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Preschool Promise (PSP) and Preschool For All (PFA) are met and maintained.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year experience working in a Certified Childcare Center with students ages 3-5 years old - will be verified.
Previous experience teaching in a setting that focuses on inclusion and supporting students with individual needs ranging from low-support to high-support needs.
Must be at least 18 years of age

Must meet the following criteria:
(A) At least 750 hours of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified ChildCare Center, or comparable group care program in the appropriate age level or;
(B) One year or 1,500 hours of qualifying teaching experience in Registered Family or Certified Family childcareor;
(C) Documentation of attaining at least step 6 in the Oregon Registry; OR 9 quarter credits in two CKCs (3 must be in HGD or UGB) or;
(D) A minimum of an associates degree from a college or university with a major in: Early childhood education; Child development; Special education; Elementary education; Human development; Child and family studies or;
(E) A state or nationally recognized credential, e.g. Child Development Associate (CDA).
Travel:

• In coordination with the Medical Director, serve as a designated medical provider for suspicious physical injury cases referred under Karly's Law. Provide additional medical consultation for multidisciplinary team members and local medical providers on child abuse issues as needed.
• Regularly participate in case review with the multidisciplinary teams in coordination with other medical providers.
• Provide expert and fact witness testimony in Benton and Linn County proceedings and other jurisdictions as required.
• Assist in establishing medical policy and protocols in accordance with ABC House's mission, vision and goals.
• Complete a minimum of eight hours of continuing medical education in child abuse medicine annually and participate in additional quality assurance activities including consultation with child abuse experts, literature review and peer review.
• Share call-phone duties at minimum one week per month
• Additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
• This position is open to MD or DO with a license to practice medicine in the State of Oregon. Pediatrics or Family Medicine preferred.
• Experience with child abuse medicine preferred.

CAIRO Academy is a non-profit preschool program funded by Preschool Promise and Preschool For All. Assistant Position Summary:
The Assistant Teacher is responsible for participating as part of a cohesive teaching team, assisting the Lead Teacher in coordinating the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Assistant Teachers must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Assistant Teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, effectively participate on the teaching team, and support the Lead Teacher to resolve parent/guardian concerns. Qualifications
Must be able to pass at drug test and submit to random drug screenings upon employment
Must be 18 years of age
Ability to develop activities that are developmentally appropriate and educational for young children
Ability to teach young children in rules of conduct and learning new tasks

Meet initial /annual training requirements
Completed 20 semester credits, or 30 quarter credits from a college or university in Early Childhood Education orChild Development OR a Step 8 in the Oregon Registry OR at least 1-year qualifying teaching experience in a certified center
Alternatively have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or Special Education, OR a one-year state or nationally recognized credential related to preschool age care
Must be enrolled in the Central Background Registry
Must have food handlers (can be acquired upon employment)
Must have child and infant first aid / CPR certification (can be acquired upon employment)
Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated or have approved exemption
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to move throughout the building and grounds as needed throughout the day; must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. The Child Abuse Medical Provider provides forensic medical evaluation and consultation
services to children and youth referred for concerns of abuse and neglect. This is a unique
opportunity for a talented and motivated individual with experience in pediatrics or family
medicine to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and to contribute to the prevention,
evaluation and treatment of child abuse.
Principle responsibilities include but not limited to:
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide complete child abuse assessment and consultation services to children referred with concerns of child abuse and neglect.
Conduct forensic medical examinations of children and youth. Determine child and familys medical and social needs, including emotional and psychological concerns, and make appropriate recommendations.
Complete all required medical documentation, including photo-documentation, electronic health record system and patient charts. Prepare reports for client records and investigations.
In coordination with the Medical Director, serve as a designated medical provider for suspicious physical injury cases referred under Karlys Law. Provide additional medical consultation for multidisciplinary team members and local medical providers on child abuse issues as needed.
Regularly participate in case review with the multidisciplinary teams in coordination with other medical providers.
Provide expert and fact witness testimony in Benton and Linn County proceedings and other jurisdictions as required.
Assist in establishing medical policy and protocols in accordance with ABC Houses mission, vision and goals.
Complete a minimum of eight hours of continuing medical education in child abuse medicine annually and participate in additional quality assurance activities including consultation with child abuse experts, literature review and peer review.
Share call-phone duties at minimum one week per month
Additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
This position is open to MD or DO with a license to practice medicine in the State of Oregon. Pediatrics or Family Medicine preferred.
Experience with child abuse medicine preferred.
Ability to work with multidisciplinary partners, including law enforcement, child protective services, mental health providers and non-medical professionals.
Ability to communicate compassionately and remain objective and non-judgmental.
Ability to calmly and effectively deal with people in crisis.
Spanish speaker is a plus.
