The Child Abuse Medical Provider provides forensic medical evaluation and consultation
services to children and youth referred for concerns of abuse and neglect. This is a unique
opportunity for a talented and motivated individual with experience in pediatrics or family
medicine to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and to contribute to the prevention,
evaluation and treatment of child abuse.
Principle responsibilities include but not limited to:
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide complete child abuse assessment and consultation services to children referred with concerns of child abuse and neglect.
Conduct forensic medical examinations of children and youth. Determine child and familys medical and social needs, including emotional and psychological concerns, and make appropriate recommendations.
Complete all required medical documentation, including photo-documentation, electronic health record system and patient charts. Prepare reports for client records and investigations.
In coordination with the Medical Director, serve as a designated medical provider for suspicious physical injury cases referred under Karlys Law. Provide additional medical consultation for multidisciplinary team members and local medical providers on child abuse issues as needed.
Regularly participate in case review with the multidisciplinary teams in coordination with other medical providers.
Provide expert and fact witness testimony in Benton and Linn County proceedings and other jurisdictions as required.
Assist in establishing medical policy and protocols in accordance with ABC Houses mission, vision and goals.
Complete a minimum of eight hours of continuing medical education in child abuse medicine annually and participate in additional quality assurance activities including consultation with child abuse experts, literature review and peer review.
Share call-phone duties at minimum one week per month

Skills and Qualifications:
This position is open to MD or DO with a license to practice medicine in the State of Oregon. Pediatrics or Family Medicine preferred.
Experience with child abuse medicine preferred.

Assistant Position Summary:
The Assistant Teacher is responsible for participating as part of a cohesive teaching team, assisting the Lead Teacher in coordinating the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Assistant Teachers must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Assistant Teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, effectively participate on the teaching team, and support the Lead Teacher to resolve parent/guardian concerns. Job Duties
Instructional & Classroom Support
Assist instructors with classroom and lab set-up and clean-up before and after class.

Help lead small study groups or review sessions before exams.
Mentor new students on program expectations, tool room procedures, and lab etiquette.
Support instructors during field trips, open houses, program tours, or special events.
Tooling, Equipment, & Lab Operations
Organize and distribute tools, equipment, and training aids for daily lessons.
Track tool check-in/check-out and maintain tool accountability.
Maintain clean, orderly, and safety-compliant lab spaces.
Assist with setting up training aids (engines, components, mock-ups, etc.).
Support inventory management by logging consumables and notifying instructors when supplies run low.
Assist with routine equipment checks (visual inspections, basic cleaning).
Maintain classroom organization-restock materials, arrange seating, update bulletin boards, etc.
Support instructors in monitoring PPE use and general safety compliance.
