THE ROLE
Seeking individuals with single subject teaching credentials or education specialists, or PPS, SLP, APE to work at local schools in the Corona Norco Unified School District. This is an in-person position. Candidates must be willing to submit transcripts and proof of teaching credentials.

Job Summary: Preschool teachers are responsible for the early education of children in their care. Duties and responsibilities of Preschool Teachers include developing and delivering interactive learning programs designed to engage and educate young children.

Teach basic skills such as color, shape, number and letter recognition, personal hygiene, and social skills.
Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
Able to stand for long periods of time, frequent walking, sitting on the floor and playing with children, being able to lift up to a 40lb child in an emergency situation.
You must be able to get up off the floor and stand up quickly.
Must be able to participate and lead children in various school events and programs such as Birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Independence Day, etc.

Job Qualifications:
A Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field AND / OR 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) Units.
Must be able to speak English clearly and be able to communicate with other staff and parents clearly. Spanish speaking is a plus.
A Statement signed by a physician that the applicant is in good health and free from health problems which would have a harmful effect on children or co- workers or would interfere with effective functioning.
Must be able to pass FBI Fingerprint, DOJ and Child Abuse index background check.
Certification in California Childcare First Aid & CPR.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:

The Preschool Teacher III at Patria Church is an exceptional and experienced professional, joining a dynamic and dedicated staff. This role requires advanced expertise in Early Childhood Principles and Practices. The Preschool Teacher III's classroom serves as an observation space for peers, program guests, and practicum students, showcasing an environment where best practices in teaching are effectively modeled, and behavior management techniques are successfully implemented. The individual supports the program by mentoring other teaching staff and acting as a project manager for specific events or program operations. Contributing to the development and facilitation of professional development opportunities is a key component of the role, ensuring ongoing growth within the teaching team. The Teacher III prioritizes tasks, identifies the needs of enrolled children by reporting and tracking trends, maintain organizational records, ensures site-level accountability with Title 22 standards and effectively communicating this information to the Lead Teacher. The Preschool Teacher III reports directly to the Preschool Administrator or another designated official within the preschool administration team.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
Able to successfully complete background investigation and drug screen.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess strong computer skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software. Microsoft Suite software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
In-depth knowledge, demonstration, and execution of Patria Church vision & values, culture, ministry functions, processes, and procedures.
Proof of current TB Clearance, MMR immunization, Tdap immunization, and Influenza vaccination. *The Influenza vaccination may be declined with a signed statement.
Able to successfully complete background investigation and drug screen.
Mentally reacts appropriately and immediately in unexpected circumstances.
Required to stand up to 95% of the workday.
High School Diploma.
Minimum 24 (+) Units in Early Childhood Education/Child Development (including core courses: Child/Human Growth & Development; Child, Family & Community; Curriculum). *All applicable course work must be completed with a grade of “C” or better from a regionally accredited college or university.
Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in a licensed childcare facility.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
Possession and maintenance of a California Child Development Permit (Master Teacher or higher).
Completion of an additional 3 Units in Infant and Toddler Care.
