Dell Medical School in conjunction with Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas (DCMCCT), is seeking Physician Assistants with cardiac critical care credentials to be part of the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to serve the growing need of the regional pediatric population, delivering world class pediatric cardiac critical care.
Responsibilities
Counsels and educates cardiac critical care patients and their families/ caregivers concerning health conditions, treatment options and community resources.
Documents delivery of cardiac critical health care and nursing processes in accordance with care standards and network nursing policy.
Participates in orientation and education of staff and students.
Obtains cardiac critical care patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination.
Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies for cardiac critical care patients. Performs health assessments, screening, and patient care.
Provides direct treatment and management of cardiac critical care conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers or community resources. Engages in discharge planning.
Other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Physician's Assistant or Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing. Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority specializing in Cardiac Critical Care. Credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing in Acute Care nursing. Experience in caring for children with complex congenital and acquired heart disease in a Pediatric and Congenital Critical Care Unit. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work efficiently and flexibly in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance. Ability to address individuals and information with a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality in various situations. Capacity to work well with physicians and other care providers as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare delivery team.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

NATURE OF WORK:
The purpose of this classification is to tutor elementary, middle, and high school students in order to improve academic performance in Math and English/Language Arts for middle and high school students, and various core subjects for elementary students. Work closely with Kinship Care staff and students to determine needs and extent of tutoring required.
Additionally, this position assists in planning, organizing, and implementing programs within the Senior Services Department. Duties include leading and assisting with programs, activities, and staff-led classes, as well as providing administrative and program support.

The MLWs are supported by other MLWs and college students (and in some cases classroom teachers) who collaborate in planning, debriefing, and implementing their math literacy workshops. YPPs goal is to ensure that MLWs understand that, for the purposes of equity, their work as near peer math facilitators who are from the same community as their students, is indispensable and vital to the broader education community.

Job Description:
MLW will prep, plan, and debrief at their high school in teams of four. Additionally, MLWs should be prepared to facilitate math modules/workshops at their assigned middle school for 90 minutes per week plus 60 minutes to set-up/debrief.
Debrief (student's response to each activity, most/least effective, needs improvement)
Plan (revise / create lesson plans, assign roles, collect materials)
Practice & Professional Development (mock facilitate, give each other feedback)
Create or Design a new game or activity
Team building activities (with fellow MLWs, teachers, and staff)
Review training material or math content to ensure MLW understanding

* Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
* Observes, records, and reports client's progress, as well as the condition and

* Manages challenging behaviors.
* Applies behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
* Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
* Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
* Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
* Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent and timely manner through our on-line database.
* Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
* Maintains confidentiality of client information.
* Follows BE policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
* Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
* Passion for Children: A genuine love for working with children.
* Positive Attitude: Strong interpersonal skills for working with children and families.
* Experience: Prior experience with children is advantageous.
* Continuous Learning: Interest in ongoing development.
* Transportation: Valid driver's license, personal vehicle, & Auto insurance with name listed.
* Devices: Must have a Tablet or Laptop computer to use during sessions (not just a smart phone)
* Background: Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check.
Physical Requirements:
