Team Pastor's ChildCareWorker Position Status: Part Time Classification: Non-Exempt SUMMARY Team Pastor's ChildCareWorkers provide safe and excellent care to children, ages 6 weeks - 5 years old for Team Pastor's events/services; To show the love of Jesus through quality care, interactive play and age-appropriate learning. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Helps to ensure the safety and welfare of the children and protects each from physical or emotional harm. This includes performing all tasks with an appropriate level of confidentiality.
Provides an environment where everyone can have a positive experience throughout the service.
Treats all children, families, and staff members with dignity and respect, and allow for individual differences.
Supervises and interacts with children at all times; snack times, play times, and activity times.
Available and assists with any Team Pastor's events as scheduled (Discipleship, Growth Track, etc).
Accurately maintains observation/attendance records and other required classroom logs.
Familiar with all safety, health, and emergency policies of the program and ready to implement them when necessary.
Maintains appropriate communication with staff, children, and families in a warm and professional manner.
Available and assists with Team Pastor's events as scheduled (Discipleship, Growth Track, etc).
Assists in preparing materials for services.
Prepares Check In stations and monitor children's check in and out at each service and assists in greeting all guests.
Helps with service set ups and take downs and at times, general housekeeping.
Helps recruit and lead volunteers.
Performs all other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School student, graduate with diploma or GED (minimum).
Native English speaker (or) the capacity to successfully pass a TOEFL Exam with instructional proficiency.
Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to provide a supportive and caring environment for children.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience in residential or group-home setting, hospices, assisted living, or custodial services
Strong cooking skills and knowledge of nutrition and food safety
Ability to follow cleaning protocols and safely handle chemical products
Excellent communication skills-both verbal and written
Patience, empathy, and sensitivity toward individuals with diverse needs or behaviors
Ability to lift reasonably heavy items (up to 50 lbs), stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks
Preferred
Prior experience working with adults with developmental disabilities or mental health conditions
Certification in food handling, CPR/First Aid
Valid driver's license and clean driving record for running errands
Schedule & Compensation
Schedule: Full-time (30-40 hrs/week), including days, evenings, and occasional weekends

Minimum Qualifications
Child Welfare Assistant I
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of six months of experience in general office clerical work, providing care for children in a licensed day care facility, sales, or public contact work
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one of the following for the required experience: (a) six months of technical or vocational training course work; or (b) the completion of 15 semester hours from a college or university.
Child Welfare Assistant II
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of one year of clerical experience in a governmental or non-profit social services provider environment;
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting thirty semester hours of college for the required experience.
Child Welfare Assistant III
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of one year of clerical experience in a governmental or non-profit social services provider environment plus two additional years of clerical experience in a child welfare environment;

Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the completion of a full range of paraprofessional work completing various Child Welfare case management activities such as providing assistance to Child Welfare Specialists, clients, client families, and other interested parties.
Schedules required appointments for doctor visits, family visitations, court appearances, and other venues; arranges or provides transportation for child(ren) and clients.
This may include coordinating referrals to other program areas, service providers, and the courts; assisting in problem resolution, and making home visits to assist CWS in assessing foster care placement as required by the court or individualized service plan.
Interviews clients and their families and report findings, which may affect medical, financial, tribal affiliation, and psychiatric care and treatment plans, to assigned CWS.
Performs administrative support tasks and other related duties including general office duties, inputting case documentation, compiling social and economic data, scheduling, and assisting in meetings with clients, parents, and other interested parties.
Advises clients of available child welfare services and resources; provides specific program information to clients and may refer to community resources for assistance.
Assists CWS in providing case management in client meetings, obtaining other services such as daycare or medical care; coordinating activities with law enforcement; courts, and other entities; providing reports to the courts.
May assist in advocating for the client(s) in obtaining services; maintains communication among the client, providers, client's family, and others; may assist clients in achieving individualized service plans.
