Assist residents with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, feeding, taking medications, and Range of Motion (ROM) exercises, both in the home and in the community. Assist with weighing program participants, take vital signs, gathers and records other data as requested.
Focusing on empowerment, collaborate with residents to develop treatment and behavior plans, and goal building and achievement.

DETAILED STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Custodial Services
* Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks restroom facilities and drinking fountains in accordance with established University health standards
* Cleans all surfaces in offices, classrooms, common spaces, laboratories, meeting rooms, etc.
* Empties and cleans waste and recycling receptacles and transports contents to designated disposal sites
* Sweeps, mops, strips, waxes, polishes, buffs, and applies special finishes to floors
* Vacuums, shampoos, and spot cleans carpets and walk-off mats
* Replaces light bulbs for internal and external fixtures around the perimeter of buildings and cleans lenses and light covers
* Cleans return air grilles and supply diffusers to maintain proper airflow and indoor air quality
* Washes interior and exterior windows, glass surfaces, and partitions
* Dusts, polishes, removes graffiti from and rearrange furniture
* Moves furniture, equipment, books, musical instruments, laboratory equipment, etc.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE
Four (4) years of experience in tasks in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration trade.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SPECIAL EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years of General Experience must have been performing skilled heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration trades.
Note: For State Employees, this is interpreted at the level of Skilled Maintainer or Transportation Maintainer 2.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED
Graduation from a vocational or technical school with a diploma designating completion of subject requirements in a maintenance trade area may be substituted for two (2) years of General Experience.
At the University of Connecticut: Satisfactory performance and completion of the UConn Facilities Internship Training Program may be substituted for the General and Special Experience as determined by UConn Facilities Operations and Human Resources Management.
At other State Agencies: Two (2) years of experience as a Qualified Craft Worker Intern in a designated maintenance trade area may be substituted for the General and Special Experience.
Experience performing technical duties within the HVACR trade area on a military base, aircraft carrier, or large compound may be substituted for General and Special Experience on a year-for-year basis.

An active S-2 or S-1 license.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks
· Prepare the treatment room for examination of pets and all necessary medical item and supplies (e.g. vaccinations, fecal loops, slides, etc.) for the veterinarian and/or veterinary technician. Set up fecals, smears, and skin scrapings as allowed by state rules and regulations.
· Maintain the flow of the Cycle of Service in accordance to position. Provide Client Education regarding preventive care, Optimum Wellness Plans, and basic status of hospitalized pets. Serve as support to the Client Services Coordinator staff on an as-needed basis.
· Hold or restrain pets during examination, treatment, or inoculation.
· Prepare routine in-house laboratory tests (e.g. canine heartworm, feline leukemia, FIV, and canine parvovirus) as allowed by state rules and regulations.
· Monitor the comfort of hospitalized patients. Ensure the comfort of hospitalized patients by "walking", exercising, feeding, and cleaning cages and pet (when approved by the veterinarian or veterinary technician).
· Bathe and dip pets when necessary to treat dermatological conditions (when advised by veterinarian or veterinary technician.
· Clean the surgical suite and instruments.
· Ensure cleanliness of the hospital including but not limited to housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, mopping, cage cleaning, trash collection and removal and instrument cleaning as outlined by hospital protocols

As an important part of the foundation team, our WORKS Fellow will focus and assist in executing all PGA REACH New England programs in our Inclusion, Youth Development and Veteran pillars as well as support National PGA REACH programs locally here in New England. Our team proudly delivers, executes and manages over 300 programs or experiences during the year.
About Us
Our offices are in Boylston, Massachusetts, and we are the 8th largest of 41 Sections of the Professional Golfers' Association of America. The PGA of America, formed in 1916, has grown into the world's largest working sports organization with more than 31,000 Members and Associates. The New England Section is one of the founding Sections of the PGA of America and consists of approximately 1,200 golf professionals in Central to Eastern Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. The local Section office is the regional center for all New England PGA activity. There is no better way to learn about all facets of the golf industry and golf administration than to spend time working in a PGA Section office.
Day to Day
Our WORKS Fellow is responsible for supporting several successful programs, while also supporting all initiatives delivered by the foundation. This entire process includes understanding the goal of the program, directly supporting the implementation, taking ownership to make sure it is well-run, onsite and extensive operational responsibilities and finally, ensuring pre-process goals are met. Our Pillars of Impact include the following programs and initiatives:
- Inclusion Pillar - As a core value of our foundation, our Inclusion programs offer ways to grow the game by creating an atmosphere where all are welcomed. Programming includes Camp REACH, Networking Clinics, Drive Chip & Putt Skill Competitions with Special Athletes, Women's Networking Summit and five-part Networking Series
- Veteran Pillar - Our foundation proudly introduces golf to veterans with disabilities to enhance their physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being. Programming includes PGA HOPE, OPERATION: PlayDay, Sets Fore Vets, The Champion's Tribute, New England Veteran Series and the Northeast HOPE Invitational.
- Youth - Introduction to golf at an early age has proven to provide great opportunities for boys and girls in education, health and wellness and character building. Programming includes Junior TOUR, Drive Chip & Putt, PGA Junior League and Scholarships.
Supporting and at times, leading the effort to communicate the goodwill delivered by the foundation will be required by our PGA WORKS Fellow.
Utilizing our social media channels, newsletter campaigns such as the Foundation 411, direct email messaging and regular collaboration with all foundation team members as well as our Communications & Marketing staff, will help to ensure our impact and initiatives are shared with our NEPGA Professionals, Board of Directors, Donors, Partners & Sponsors, and those looking to champion our mission to impact lives through golf. Additionally, our Fellow will have the opportunity to shadow and closely work with department leads to observe the full scope of daily activities related to Golf Administration.
what to bring, WHAT TO EXPECT
o Genuine desire to help people, while learning about the Golf Industry
o Recent undergraduate degree, within last 12-24 months is preferred
o Flexible schedule, many foundation programs require early mornings, late evenings and occasional weekend work
o Reliable transportation and valid driver's license, all foundation programs are delivered across New England
o Ability to work in a team environment, while focusing on individual goals to support overall success
o Public speaking, presentation, verbal & written skills are all required to be above average
o Comfort with PC skills, various Microsoft products, social media platforms, Canva, JotForm and BlueGolf
PGA WORKS Fellow will;
o Assist with all foundation programming including communications, participant recruitment, promotions, scheduling and event execution, significant time is spent on-site operating and executing programs
o Assist the marketing and communications team to ensure activities that occur in the Section are documented and reported to national PGA REACH social media and public relations resources
o Assist with all fundraising activities, including onsite and virtual events
o Directly support all pillars of programs
o Additional support and exposure to New England Section PGA education, governance and tournament operations
As our foundation continues to grow, so will the impact of the PGA WORKS Fellow. The goal of this fellowship is to provide an opportunity for underrepresented groups to work within the industry. Fellows are expected to be ambassadors of our programs, help the foundation and support the national PGA WORKS initiative with some of the local promotion and recruitment of the next PGA WORKS Fellow in 2027.
Compensation
$23.00-$25.00 per hour (8-month employment), depending on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include Personal-use time, Mobile phone allowance, Travel reimbursement, Staff uniforms

Mercy Centre is a program of Catholic Charities located in West Boylston, Massachusetts. Founded by the Sisters of Mercy and Catholic Charities in the 1960s, the program serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ages eighteen and over, in four different programs from the Worcester County extended area. The Adult Services programs have been in existence for about sixty years. We are seeking Day Habilitation Direct CareWorker to join our team!
Primary Responsibilities: As a member of the Mercy Centre Day Habitation Program, provide quality care, independence, and services for individuals in the program. Be responsible for planning and implementing instructional activities in the facility and in the community. Provide instruction, guidance, supervision, documentation and role modeling.
Essential Duties:
Implement skills activities in relationship to identified curriculums.
Design individualized activities that teach and reinforce safety and survival skills.
Develop an understanding of the individual needs, goals and level of required assistance of all to insure safety and comfort while maintaining the development of age appropriate behaviors.
Provide individualized ADL activities in the community.
Develop ADL activities that facilitate social integration and community membership.
Provide ADL activities that can be carried over to and incorporated into the community.
Maintain documentation of training provided, techniques used and cue levels utilized.
Provide individualized documentation on progress.
Collect data relating to goals and objectives.
Complete incident sheets, seizure reports, progress notes and any other documentation necessary to ensure compliance with Agency standards, DMR regulations or Program policies.
Provide transportation for individuals either in agency vehicle or personal vehicle.
Provide exemplary role modeling behaviors.
Participate in regular staff meetings, in-service training and other staff development
Provide communities access opportunities for assigned program participants
Help to facilitate and maintain a positive work environment
Maintain required acceptable standards and procedure of the agency, as well as the host companies
Work cooperatively with the entire staff
Provide exemplary role modeling behaviors
Other duties are expected to be performed as requested
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
One to two years year experience in human services or related field
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to present oneself professionally and pragmatically to program participants, families, guardians, the business community and representatives from other agencies.
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently, and to communicate effectively.
Demonstrated ability to write comprehensive reports, progress notes, evaluations, etc.
Ability to interact positively with program and agency staff.
Ability to transport program participants in personal vehicle, if necessary.
Must be able to be consistent in implementing daily routine.
Licenses/Certifications:
Adult CPR and First Aid. If not possessed at the time of hire, employees must attain certification within six months of hire, and maintain annually thereafter.
Must submit to a CORI (Criminal Offenders Record Information) which shows no offenses.
Must provide evidence of a recent Mantoux Skin Test for TB, and maintain compliance with health regulation throughout employment.
Must possess valid Massachusetts Driver's License, appropriate insurance coverage and maintain a valid driver's license throughout employment.
