Responsibilities
Behavioral Aides in the residential setting are responsible for providing basic observation and monitoring of consumers in the group home, providing daily assessment of consumer's behavior, providing training on basic living skills, transporting the consumers to appointments and outings, distributing the consumer's medication, assisting consumers with personal care, and the preparation of the consumer's meals.

This position is a “self-scheduling” position. Employees choose their preferred shifts 6 weeks in advance based on the availability of opportunities to work in their location or approved alternate locations. Full time employees are required to work 3, 12 hour shifts per week (7:00 to 7:00) including rotating weekends; Part Time are 1-2 shifts per week depending on the location; and PRN (as needed) are required to work about 1 time or more per month and other shifts. The preferred shifts are a guide for the supervisors to build the schedule around the employees' preferences, and generally are similar to the finalized schedule. The preferred shifts are not guaranteed and the schedule could change at any time based on the needs in the facility.
Also, on occasion overtime may be required and scheduled in advance.

Documentation & Compliance
Accurately document services delivered, including date, time, duration, and specific activities completed.
Maintain person-centered notes that connect activities to individual support plan (ISP) goals.
Ensure caregiver relief is clearly documented for respite care.

Qualifications
