Physical Requirements:

We are looking for a ChildCare Teacher I/II/III to work at the Head Start/Early Head Start program. The ChildCare Teacher I/II/III will be responsible for planning and implementing a daily program for the children in the center. Summary of Job Duties:We are looking for a ChildCare Teacher I/II/III to work at the Head Start/Early Head Start program. The ChildCare Teacher I/II/III will be responsible for planning and implementing a daily program for the children in the center. The ChildCare Teacher I/II/III will also be responsible for supervising the children and ensuring their safety at all times.
Qualifications:
ChildCare Teacher I:
High School diploma/GED with a (CDA) Child Development Associates credential in infant-toddler, plus one (1) year of early childhood experience.
ChildCare Teacher II:
Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field, or Associate's degree with at least six (6) credit hours in early childhood education, plus one (1) year of early childhood experience.
ChildCare Teacher III:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field with at least six (6) credit hours in early childhood education plus one (1) year of experience in early childhood Education or related field.
Responsibilities:
Creates and maintains an atmosphere conducive to learning, both through physical classroom materials and instructional activities.
Implement approved regular goals while utilizing techniques necessary to motivate learning in small children.
Make regular assessments of instructional classroom materials and communicate the need for replacement or repair as needed.
Supervises students in all activities, both inside and outside the classroom. Ensure that everything is in place in case of your absence.
Identifies achievement levels of each student and provides ongoing evaluation of progress.
Identifies and accesses behavioral concerns requiring involvement of program resource staff.
Establishes and maintains continuous communication between parents and staff.
Encourages parent involvement to increase literacy skills and classroom participation. Become thoroughly knowledgeable of all required program standards and regulations and adhere to the same.
Participates in school-sponsored activities; attends faculty and staff meetings as required.
Maintains all required documentation.
Maintains the child/staff ratio.
Perform all duties as assigned.
