Prepare nutritional meals according to USDA standards, complete menu documentation, order collect, and correctly store groceries. Assisting initial orientation of all new residents. Identifying signs and symptoms of illness, administering first aid when necessary, and reporting all conditions to supervisor. Administer and document all medications, and inform appropriate parties of side effects. Inform appropriate parties when medications are low. Submit accurate documents in a timely manner, e.g. morning reports, incident reports, change over logs, and accident reports. Participate in residents Plans of Service. Attend and transport residents to appropriate facilities; including all medical/dental appointments, therapy, parent/child visitation, etc. Transportation will be provided with a Boysville assigned vehicle. Reinforce positive behaviors by providing healthy positive alternatives for residents such as: Treat residents with respect to form a trusting relationship. Support and assist residents in all educational capacities to include homework, extracurricular activities, and monitoring grades. Works dependably (shows up on time, is available to work as needed, calls in properly when necessary, and doesn't call-in excessively or on a regularly basis). Completes and submits all required forms and documentation in a timely manner. Qualifications Must have H.S. diploma or GED and 1 to 2 years relevant experience. Must possess excellent communication, organization and time management skills. Must have a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record. Required to participate in a minimum of 50 training hours annually. Must possess cultural sensitivity towards residents.
