Physical Requirements:
This position requires the employee to comply with all applicable federal, state, local, Bright Horizons', and client site requirements concerning immunizations, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training. Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $22.75 - $27.80 per hour. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. The Nisqually Indian Tribe is developing a Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) facility on Pacific Ave in Olympia, Washington to address the opioid crisis within the Thurston County area. GENERAL SUMMARY
The Child Care Attendant at Nisqually Generations Healing Center (NGHC) is responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for children of patients. They maintain constant visual and auditory supervision, focusing on the safety and well-being of each child. Additionally, they plan and supervise activities, foster a creative and playful atmosphere, and perform general housekeeping tasks to keep the area clean and safe.
This position ensures confidentiality, security, and accuracy of records, and promotes positive employee, customer, and community relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding customer service to fellow employees, customers, vendors, etc. is expected. Regular attendance is required, later hours or weekend time may be required, and a neat well-groomed professional appearance is essential at all times.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Monitor and engage with children to ensure their safety and well-being.
* Maintains a safe play environment.
* Maintain attendance records, sign-in sheets, tracking system and any necessary documentation related to the children in care.
* Organizes and leads recreational activities, including games, crafts, and story time.
* Instructs children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, dressing, and personal hygiene.
* Implement positive behavior management strategies and handle any conflicts or issues appropriately.
* Practices patience with childhood behavior and corrects inappropriate behavior.
* Communicate effectively with the children and their parents, as well as with staff and other childcare workers.

Physical Requirements:
Physicality is required for this job as it is highly active. Since safety is our top priority for you and the pets, our requirements reflect that. While we do train basic body mechanics, dog walking leash handling, human body adjustments for dog body language you'll need to meet the following requirements.
Please note that we walk a LOT, and depending on your schedule, it's possible to have a full day of back to back dog walk appointments scheduled (30-60 minute appointments each) for possibly 4-6 hours of 'walk time'. While each client has pets with different exercise needs, most clients need help getting their dogs tired out - so not all appointments are a leisurely stroll with an elderly pup. We also walk on different pathways and in all kinds of weather so coordination along with pace is needed to be successful. Able to walk at a moderate-to-fast pace (including hills) for long periods of time in all weather conditions, for approximately 4-10 miles a day (depending on hours).

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is a non supervisory position with the primary function of supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in their homes and communities throughout King County. JOB SUMMARY
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides one to one support to participants within our Supported Living Program (SLP) that fosters inclusion and independence. The DSP is responsible for daily notations and other required documentation. The support that they provide should be reflective of The Arc of King County's mission, the Residential Guidelines, and the Washington Administrative Codes (WAC). The DSP will meaningfully advocate on behalf of participants on various levels.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist participants with community inclusion and social integration.
Attend appointments with participants (medial, housing, Individual Service Plans [ISPs]).
Complete quarterly safety logs. • Assist participant in setting and meeting goals and meeting ISP objectives.
Assist participant with housing reviews and finding housing.
Complete required documentation and daily narratives.
Assist participants in managing their finances as directed by their Independent Financial Plan (IFP).
Assists participant with home support (cleaning, cooking, shopping, etc.).
Assists participant with goals and approaches as directed by medical professionals.
Performs Delegated Medication administration as needed.
Assist participant with personal care tasks as needed.
Provide the Human Resources (HR) Department with state required documentation of training and certifications to maintain employment as a DSP.
Accurately document participant appointments in Therap.
Strategize and collaborate with SLP Leads in meeting participant support needs.
Assist with orientation of new staff by being an exemplary example and providing information relevant to participant supports to new staff during the shadowing phase.
