Collect cash from patients for charges and co-payments and provides patient receipts
Maintain effective communication with patients, families, peers and other members of the healthcare team
Participate and supports the care team in direct patient care
Perform a variety of patient care functions based on age-specific needs using age appropriate communication techniques
Collect and accurately labels specimens; prepare specimens and required paperwork for collection by affiliated laboratories
Restock exam/treatment rooms and medical supply inventory on a daily basis
Complete all necessary forms in an accurate and timely manner
Assist with various medical procedures, as required
Perform other job-related duties, as required
Qualifications:
1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) in an Ambulatory Care setting
High School Diploma / GED
Completion of a Medical Assistant (MA)
NYS Medical Assistant (MA) certification
Experience and ability to navigate an Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
Desired Skills:

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking On-Call Residential Aides to support our transitional shelter. Unlike set-schedule staff, On-Call Residential Aides must be flexible and available to cover any shift as needed: 12am - 8am, 8am - 4pm, or 4pm - 12am. The Residential Aides ensure that the participants of the transitional shelter are safe, monitor access to the facility, maintain an accurate count of the number of people in the facility, provide hourly tours of the facility, and maintain confidentiality of the facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains a safe and secure environment for clients, staff, and visitors.
Distributes information to residents regarding program rules and regulations.
Ensures compliance with program safety policies and procedures.
Screens incoming visitors to the facility by means of identification verification.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
The Childcare Worker provides direct childcare services to children between the ages of one (1) months and twelve (12) years of age during hours, that the licensed daycare is unavailable, for children who are not actively engaged in the licensed daycare and/or when parents are unavailable to provide supervision, as well as children who utilize the daycare. The Program Aide is responsible for providing clerical and program support to the Community Care
Network Program. Duties include handling telephones, reception area supervision, heavy filing, typing
letters and preparing reports, managing supplies inventory and equipment, providing Information and
Referral (I&R) , data entry in DFTA database system and assisting with program activities. The Program
Aide reports directly to the Program Director. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent,
computer literacy in Microsoft Office application and database systems. Excellent people skills, knowledge
of community resources for Information and Referral. Spanish language fluency preferred.
The Program Aide is specifically responsible for the following tasks:
Clerical:
Screen calls.
Triage Intake calls.
Track program services and prepare reports.
Assist with coordinating activities of volunteers.
Maintain various databases, mailing lists and monthly agency program levels of services report.
Maintain inventory of office supplies. This includes: completing approved purchased orders,
placing orders, receiving and checking purchase items upon delivery and storing supplies
which vary in weight up to 20 lbs and may require reaching overhead and utilizing a step
stool.
Perform heavy filing tasks daily, including pulling and refiling client case records in up to 5
drawer filing cabinet.
Maintain agency equipment (computers, copiers, fax, etc.) inventory, troubleshoot problems and
arrange for service and maintenance on timely basis as needed.
Restocking office supplies including office printers with reams of copy paper.
Assist in member/participant/client registration and enrollment.
When necessary, provide Telephone Reassurance and Case Assistance as assigned by
supervisor.
Provide Information and Referral.
Other Duties:
Supervise reception area and reception staff, volunteers.
Participate in SHOPP staff training programs, staff meetings, community meetings and other
meetings as assigned.
Assist in resolving any administrative problems.
Be available and willing to perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

What Your Days Will be Like:
As a Caregiver within our Care for Business team, you will have the opportunity to care for children of multiple families in your area! You will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the children under your care. * Conduct Intro Calls with each family you're booked with
* Care for children in their homes, typically an 8-hour day
